@@shibatabi I stayed in a ryokan there. It had an irori(open fire pit) in the living room, and the guests were required to wear yukata or kimono for breakfast, which was cooked on the irori.

Sorry to hear that and I appreciate your feedback. I've tested using an external gimbal, but unfortunately the setup was too bulky and heavy for long-term use.

GOKAWA is a smaller version of Shirakawago, and has a small shrine/temple as well as a lovely museum as well as old-style ryokan, NO cars.

Thanks for watching! The summer season is not so busy and the buses are more or less empty. When I went, there was only 2 people in the entire bus.

planning on visiting Shirakawa-go in october, how long should i stay there? will 2 hours be enough?
I think 2 hours should be fine (although you might feel a little rushed).
I was there for about 3 hours and I was able to get a feel of the place.
