  • Eastman E20OM-TC has Solid Adirondack Thermo-cured Spruce top, Solid Indian rosewood back and sides. Neck is mahogany with ebony fingerboard. The nut width is 44,5mm (1 3/4"), scale length is 24.9" (632.5 mm). The Thermo-cured top is no only visual aged, it makes the response and resonance as like a well played few decades old guitar does. Adirondack spruce top makes extra headroom to handle huge dynamic request. The Madagascar rosewood back and sides produces well defined and detailed bass response.
The demo recorded in Stageshop, played by Ernő Galambos CEO of Stageshop. Sound and video recording and all editing made by Áron Bajnok.
We used Middle-Side microphone recording technique with a Neumann KM184 at centre and Austrian Audio OC818 for the stereo ambient sides. We used UAD Apollo X4 mic preamp and AD converter and ProTools DAW. No EQ or any effects used on the recording.

Cool playing. Is the playability and craftmanship of the Eastman comparable with Furch? Especially the E1, E3, E6 OM Models. I want an glossy OM with a good price. So no Furch anymore. ;-)

The most important difference is the 24,9” scale length of Eastman E20 or E10 compared to Furch has 25,5”. The shorter scalem makes less tension of the same strings on same standard tune. It makes smoother bending and different attack response in the transient of each note. Also the torrified Adirondack top is a real extra on Eastman. If you want the same woods on Furch them must have to pay over €3k. We still selling Furch but we make more video contents of Eastman, Martin etc now

@Stageshopguitars Thanks for the answer. How would you describe the neck on Eastman 44,5mm compared to 43mm on Furch soft V?

most of OM guitars has 1 3/4” wide nut, the 43mm is not usual but possible on the Furch. It is a really personal thing wich is better or not. Eastman guitars has more similar neck profile to Martin standard series guitars but a little bit slimmer. Furch is soft V and seems fatter in the first positions
