I remember a number of years ago when Julie was featured on a "housewives of London" type of show and poorJulie was the only genuine person surrounded by a group of very unkind and/or shallow ladies, some of whom seemed to delight in being cruel. So, it's very nice to see her doing work that clearly suits her: showcasing interesting places and interviewing people who have something worthwhile to share and who know how to behave intelligently. I wish her joy and peace. 🍁🧡🍂🏵🍁
@2Sugarbears they were mostly just trash. Julie always seemed the most genuine and motivated. She had an actual ambition--to help her husband's family home be profitable. The rest of them were so vapid.
Owlpen Manor is just gorgeous, that chapel is beautiful and what an amazing job they've done with the barns. I really prosperous business by the sounds of it for weddings, well done Sir Nicholas and Lady Mander
Just loved this tour!!! I just watched a video of haunted places in the Cotswolds and this house was featured as one of them and I gasped at its beauty! I enjoyed the haunting video but then pouted because he didn't show the inside. Then I land on this video and voila! The inside, the folks who live there and its history! Thank you Julie and Lord and Lady Mander for sharing your paradise!
I want to see a medieval manor that looks like it did 600 years ago. I prefer the looks of the threshing/cider barn--LOVE those stone walls and exposed timbers.
19:19 And there it is-what's this? A bay window, a symbol of power and status from 500 years ago! This 'tiny' manor is shouting, 'I’m the seat of power here!' Look at the pride etched into the architecture!" "Isn't it incredible how every stone and window tells a story of influence and legacy?
Visited this Manor House many years ago, but after paying an entrance fee, were only allowed with other visitors just into the large "entrance"!!!! Disgraceful! .
@kismit100 no, left as soon as I realised who it was. They probably don't indicate in the title because a lot of folks won't click on it and, as we know, the universe is all about clicks. Pity, it means the entire channel falls off my watch list 🫤

I agree. That treated her badly.

A home that stands for 600 years. Our ancestors have something to teach us about sustainable development!
These things were properly built to last, indeed.
