As a teenager and singer, I did like the original song. But when I heard Ms. Tina's version, I knew she "breathed life" into the sweet little song and this classic song moved into its special place in my heart. The song and this version still occupy that place within me.
As a teenage boy in 1978, I bought the Rough album after seeing Ms. Tina sing songs from it during her many tv appearances at the time. I loved every song and played the entire LP incessantly. Especially, I loved this soulful version of Sometimes when we touch" Also I remember this thrilling performance of this song! For me, is a true delight!
If this clip is from when she hosted, "Midnight Special" I totally don't remember this performance. I remember Tina singing, Night Time Is The Right Time" and thought that it seemed out of place to the crowd since disco was strong at that time.
Love this. It was so rare to hear Tina sing a ballad as a solo artist. RIP Queen of Rock n' Soul ❤❤❤
Amazing cover of Dan Hill's classic.

Im so happy this performance is minus Ike Turner who treated and beat her horribly.
Tina’s struggle years…
She was 40 here...
DOESN T BEAT the original. 2 hard rock, lacking nuanced sublety.
