while fan-made Madness animations are usually very good visually and you can see the effort put into them, most of them share a certain flaw. Question do you use slower mouse sensitivity to make adjustments on rotating and moving symbols? I’m currently making an animation of madness and I would like to know this so I can know if it’s needed to make smoother frames.
hey, how do you convert the actionscript 2.0 spritesheet linked in the description to actionscript 3.0? spent several hours making an animation with it and it all got wiped because adobe animate cc doesnt like actionscript 2.0. Im very new to this all though, nonetheless I need help
@@kRyyMGE I did some googling, I got way too many answers and its still very confusing, stuff like rewriting the sprites code. Every time I open the spritesheet in animate cc it would give me the popup claiming actionscript 2.0 isnt supported anymore, and it will remove actionscript code from symbols or component instances. So as a better alternative I should find a spritesheet in actionscript 3.0, if you know how or where to find any. I hope im not bugging you too much with this!
good news, I just tried making another very minimalistic animation just to test this out again, and it actually successfully saved and reopened after closing flash. Apologies for that, probably just a bunch of overthinking on my part
First time using Adobe animate I instantly go to make a big video project. I'm not even surprised anymore, the only thing I hope is for that I dont eventually give up and ditch it away. The idea that I have is, putting more bullet time into Madness Combat, and more "diving into the air to shoot and kill" like Madness Combat 5, where they put more slowed down scenes where Hank is styling, like that one where Hank goes up in the sky and shoots the group of agents while doing a frontflip. It's bullshit, but it's also badass and really cool, and that makes it worth it. Besides, it's madness combat, it's clear you have to put some epic scenes, and characters doing some stunts midfight. It's in the title, Madness. Probably Madness Combat 5 is the closest thing to Max Payne, since Hank dual wields two uzis, does some incredible similar stunts mid air, while ALSO time slowing down for the scene to get better and more badass. Now back to the point, Instead of being any other character, I will put Max Payne into Madness Combat, since no one did that, and Max Payne is pretty much underrated. Max Payne is one of the bullet time masters, and that makes him be extremely accurate with the weapons, almost always slowing down time and concentrating. But also, doing some stunts like the Shootdodge, which is diving into the air while shooting at the same time. Hence why it's called Shootdodge. Now I'm not going to explain further, for that you'll need to investigate and know better. But what I want to do is reuse the slow down time gimmick but not too much, since the video will be always slowed down which makes it boring. Maybe more real-time than bullet time to balance things out. But what motivates me, is the way Max Payne clears out room after room in Max Payne 3, the gun combat system is extremely good and satisfactory. And that probably will make the video more fun and everything. After all it's for me to enjoy watching it, rewatching it over and over without getting bored.
@@zombiebadgr Glad to see that. I have other projects to do, and that makes the project go very slow. I have to design the characters for it, but I already got the software and most resources.
Im suprised the animation of madness never made too many animators realise how versatile the madness combat style can be on so many mediums. I can see many parodys from other videogames and movies. Like there were some but i feel like there wasnt enough. But with today you can really use most IPs and have it become that 2D madness-style of animation
One time I thought of making a animation about a guy that can always "respawn" in some way and his whole thing is that he sucks at it, like hed fuck up at taking a knife from a corpse he stabbed, give away his position, etc. But this video made me realize im not slightly close of making MC animation

alt method to 22:20
1. make sure symbol is a graphic and has it's looping property set to "single frame" on all instances
2. double click on symbol to edit it
3. press f6 and make the needed changes on the new frame
4. exit out of edit mode
5. using the "edit multiple frames" option on the timeline, adjust the markers to the region that needs to be corrected
6*. make sure all other layers except the one you're fixing are locked and press ctrl+a (select all)
7. your properties tab should now be of the properties of the needed symbol. under the "looping" property change the "first" option to "2" or whichever frame inside the symbol you made the changes on

- *step 6 assumes that the symbol that needs to be fixed is on its own dedicated layer. if there happens to be more than 1 symbol that doesn't need to be fixed within its layer, then instead of doing ctrl+a, you would multi-select only the needed symbol. i recommend using the lasso tool for this.
- before animating or at the frame of where the symbol is going to be changed, duplicate the symbol (not copy and paste, the option you get when you right click it) and do the steps. this helps prevent any accidental changes to the original sprite and gives you a "master" symbol for all the changes.

replace "###" with what frame you want to go to.

oh yeah,MADNESS DAY 2024 is here!!!
6:35 "unlike other animation methods"
as someone who uses other animation methods, this is VERY like other animation methods.
Thanks! My friend at school LOVES madness combat. And I'm planning to make one.

Im very new to this all though, nonetheless I need help
u know u can just google things like that yeah?
@@kRyyMGE praise the Lord!! I only got MMFP (MacroMedia FlashPoint) which only runs with AS 2.0.. at least the sprite sheet is usable for both lol
The VCAM File Just Take's Me To The Dump But Great Tutoriel
erm trial beginner...
Go to the description
I know maybe no one will see this but this somehow teaches me more about animating
the old flash 8 link is dead/shut down, what now?
im trying to figure this out too
Adobe took it down.@@crynxld
I don’t think you can do anything at all about it, don’t trust websites saying you can even if videos say they work
it looks so fun to make
my stroke is having a brain
First time using Adobe animate
I instantly go to make a big video project.
Wait- this... this is peak!
@@zombiebadgr Glad to see that. I have other projects to do, and that makes the project go very slow. I have to design the characters for it, but I already got the software and most resources.
EVERY DRAWING I DO TURNS INTO A FUCKING SYMBOL
ahhh!!! Thank you for tutorial! It's 3:30 AM but i did my first MC animation!!!!! YEAESASASSSSS

But this video made me realize im not slightly close of making MC animation

thank you for the spritesheet very cool
I love how this was uploaded on madness day-
Even though this is already 1 year old, it's still pretty useful. Thanks

you animate these as seperate parts !? i thought for sure it wouldve been a puppet of some kind !! mad impressive
This is the most concise animation tutorial I’ve ever seen
tbh already better than other animating tutorials. other tutorials just tells you to "practice more" but doesn't tell you to practice what on and how it works. not this tutorial.
