BTW, as someone who has desperately tried to simply center a large round piece of wood atop a lazy Susan (to re-create the huge ones you see at Chinese restaurants) to no avail -- always lopsided no matter how perfect the precision is in my calibration! -- I offer tremendous props to you, sir, for pulling off the ultimate gold standard in custom-made round-wooden-spinning-things .. well done... you get all the vowels.
Amazing work. I'm so glad you're still making and producing projects and looking like you're having a great time. I cannot overstate the positive influence both you and your site have had on my development as a maker and my sense of humor and curiosity. Back when I was just a preteen on the internet, the options for me were limited. Maker blogs, creative spaces, etc were limited to webrings, link trees between friends on their Geocities/Tripod/Angelfire pages, and the few odd Livejournals. It felt great to visit your page and be entertained and have questions answered in a pre-Mythbusters time and never done in a half-hearted way. Even if something was silly, it wasn't examined in a careless way. It kept me fostering both my curiosity and creativity because it was presented so positively and comprehensively at a time when there wasn't much of that for me going around. This was a really long comment, but I had to get it out along with a big thanks. Cheers.
So glad to see and your much more grown up family making things and having fun. This video brightened my spirit so much, thanks for your cockeyed view of the world and keep em coming!
This is awesome! I loved seeing the wheel come together, and I loved how this turns Wheel into the perfect drinking game lol. If it had a bit more friction and some electronic chase lights, I could see that being the actual thing! There's one small problem though: on game day, the contestant coordinators explicitly coach you to spin as hard as you can. They also threaten that if they suspect you're aiming for a space, they'll force you to spin again harder or worse, like disqualifying you. I don't care though. I'm definitely coming to your house if I get the invitation.
I've been a huge fan of the show my whole life, and I've made hundreds of digital Wheel illustrations on my computer. I even have two models. One is only a foot in diameter while the other is three feet in diameter. You're one of a few people I know of who went at least full-scale. Maybe I'll make a life-sized eight-footer or maybe a larger-than-life ten-footer one day.
Used to follow your website like 20 years ago I guess? We had a few email conversations back in the day. I remember your American Pie/Jason Biggs McDonald's drive-thru prank with great fondness. Also when you replaced the gold decorations on a restaurant sign with a ridiculous banana. I still laugh thinking about it. Anyways, I thought of your hijinks this morning for some reason so I looked you up and I am delighted to see that you are still up to your jolly japes.
This is freaking amazing❤!!! I love DIY games and it's always great to have a replica to make it a real life experience . I did a replica set the Family Feud and we had a blast, working on The Price Is Right next, I just need someone to make the wheel🤗
"What is: a sure-fire way to never get invited to play on the Wheel of Fortune?" Dang it!.. wrong game show. Does that mean my comment just spun "Bankrupt"? 😄
Glad to see Rob is still doing his thing. I was a frequent visitor to his website over 20 years ago and I still wear the "All Star Geometry Champs" t-shirt I bought back in 2007 or so.
Put that wheel on a cart you can drag around with you and dress as Pat Sajack for Halloween. Maybe Vanna could drag around a version of the letter wall.

It's the same as the Jequiti wheel in Brazil
What a fantastic build Rob! It's truly a joy for old Cockeyed fans to get this amazing content (we had to make do with tiny JPEGs back then) :)
Looks awesome! When I was on Jeopardy (during covid times) the green room was the Wheel of Fortune soundstage… I really wanted to go spin the wheel
Ohh! That's some cool inside information!
That’s actually what happens on wheel of Fortune as well, our green room was the Jeopardy set!
This just blew my mind to think that they're filmed right next door to each other
That was awesome! I can totally see this as the most cumbersome Halloween costume ever!
Yup, Rob's the expert at building backpack harnesses made of innertubes!
This is awesome!
So glad to see and your much more grown up family making things and having fun. This video brightened my spirit so much, thanks for your cockeyed view of the world and keep em coming!
Question: Can former contestants come and spin this wheel too?
Such an amazing job Rob! So glad you're still making these wacky contraptions, I've followed you for like 20 years now 😀

Oh! Interesting! Well, the practice wheel would be a great way to practice your fake "not trying" spin technique!
Been a fan since your Superbowl-hacking days! Nice to see you still in action!
(Oh, and brilliant build!)

Rob, this your best video yet! Been following you and your site for a looong time… Keep it up!
Been following your content since the original "Height/Weight Chart"... still love it all!
This was awesome. Thanks for sharing it.

Brilliant work. Id love to be invited to a wheel of fortune party!
*"Wheel of Fortune" PIZZA* party... 🍕🍕🍕🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
I mean.. if there ever was a place for the Terrace Cafes Golden Banana to have a life in 2023, it would be a prize on the Wheel of Fortune wheel...
HOLY CRAP THAT IS HUGE
Childhood me would've killed for this. Really great work.
I gotta say, NICE homemade wheel!
Something that would make this experience even better would be software to display the puzzle board, so that it can be shown on your living room TV.
Amazing work! Looks like the real thing! - David
You should post this to the replica prop forum haha they’d love it!
I wish I have that wheel :(
love it
Show me the full video about making the flipper pls
Why is this so epic! Love it

How do you hold insulation foam together
amazing!
I love the idea. Did you ever get on the show? and if you did, how far did you make it and how much money did you win? This video i LOVE
I like to buy a vowel. An E?
Do you do any wheel commissions?
"What is: a sure-fire way to never get invited to play on the Wheel of Fortune?" Dang it!.. wrong game show. Does that mean my comment just spun "Bankrupt"? 😄
When you measured the wheel on your computer, is it the layout or the entire wheel including the surrounding pegs that’s 8 feet in diameter?
I’d like to see computer scoreboards added.
Glad to see Rob is still doing his thing. I was a frequent visitor to his website over 20 years ago and I still wear the "All Star Geometry Champs" t-shirt I bought back in 2007 or so.
*Did you ever know that you're my HERO???*
