These are very reliable cars. I also make sure to keep my '89 out of O/D unless I am traveling at speeds in excess of 60 MPH, which doesn't happen too often as the flying brick isn't exactly best suited for highway speeds.
@@melvinharris7859 I know, it has the same set up as my old '91 Crown Vic . I was told to operate in OD unless it's slick or hitting a hill on my '95 F-150...👍🏁
I've only personally owned Panther Chassis. My newest & my 1st was an '03 bought in '06 & she was a Philadelphia Detective Police Interceptor. Never had an accident on record but when my dad drove er I noticed she was crabbin cause she had a bent chassis hence y I needed tires once a year. My oldest was an '89 Grand Marquis LS. Didn't have dat much time wit er but I tells u what...because of dat 302 I had some of da best times gettin to know dat engine cause all I knew was da single coil pack per cylinder years of da Panther Chassis till I purchased her. Please stay Blessed Hoss.🙌🏿🙏🏿💪🏿😏 Beautiful car by da way.
@iliketowncars Please check out my Channel Vehicles Unleashed or just search for 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis LS with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers & u'll find my oldest & 2nd to newest Panther I've ever owned.🥲😏💪🏿
I really like how that Lincoln looks, it is a beautiful machine. Also woah in the UK it is about £4000 per year just to insure a 1.4 liter piece of sh*t modern car for people my age (21), for an older 90's car it is double the price just for insurance (£8000-£10,000). £700 per month just for insurance.
those r some crazy prices. i just pay for liability and basic comprehensive. The car has no inherent value if its totaled ill buy another car for $4000…
I’m here in California where the price of things is arguably the highest in mainland US. I’m paying 145 per month for my 87 Chevy. So it’s not THAT different if you convert it to pound or USD
Great Vid but could u please be more specific cause when u specifically said front bearings I was like "Da fuck is he talking about" until I realized...he must be talkin bout front wheel bearings. Just a suggestion Hoss.💪🏿👍🏿
lol my friends dad had a gorgeous 89 in silver with black interior. When I spent the night, we would sneak it out after his parents went to sleep and drive all over town till around 2:00am in the morning. We were both minors but we never got caught, and never got so much as a scratch on that thing before putting it back in the driveway!

I’m a GM guy but any tech from before 1990 being Daily driven and loved I can get behind
This is definitely the Paul Castellano/sparks steak house edition!

Just found out it would be about 800 per month over there witch is insane
Same vintage as the one in the movie
the Lincoln Lawyer...
That thing is doing pretty well for a 38 year old vehicle.

I would never rely on a dash light to tell me I need to add oil! Check it at every fill up OR once a week. An engine running low in oil is not good!
Lol my dad had one unsure what year but it was Maroon
