Hey guys, Bill Rapier here with Amtac Blades, I want to talk about the product that I am most excited about and that is going to be the Amtac Blades Battle Axe.
So we wanted to make something that you would want if you ran out of gunpowder or if you're in a place where you could not have firearms with you. So this overall length is just under 19 inches. We're copying an old Danish design. Those people knew something about fighting with axes. So this is a top point and a bottom hook on the thing. So we can actually thrust with this right here and you can come in and also hook things and then your hand is pretty protected when you are choked up on the weapon like this right here. Also nice thing about having this longer handle is it's really very useful if you are two handing with the thing. You can thrust and still have a very high degree of accuracy and also weapons retention with this tool like this. So whether you're coming in and chopping or thrusting like this or using two hands and thrusting or working into grappling stuff.
This thing chops extremely well and also we can thrust with it. We can chop, we can thrust, come in, choke up on it. Underhooks on guys, thrusts like that. So I wanted something that you could fight with first and foremost but then as I've been carrying it in the mountains for the last few months and chopping stuff with it at home it actually does pretty good in the backcountry as well.
One of the things that we really like is the way the sheath goes. So for my my axe straw stroke I clear my snap, I clear the cover garment and then I can go right into my thrust like this and then transfer hands into or go to a two-handed grip if you're just thrusting in close. I'm here, I clear my snap, I do a small circle and I can go right into a thrust and my chop. So pretty cool design to be worn, opposite your pistol, either on your belt or you could run it on a battle belt as well or you could run it at an angle behind your armor as well.
