Basic hickory backed bow build 1

I found an old roughed out hickory backed white oak board bow blank in the workshop that I assembled at least 10 years ago. Looking at the way it was put together, it clearly breaks several conventional rules about building a successful bow - which is probably why it was abandoned… However, since I am always up for a challenge and would love to see others not shy away from simple methods, I’m going to attempt to tiller this one out to a hunting-weight bow. I have been advised that, “Folks want to see a straight-forward build that can put meat on the table” - so here it is.

I watch pretty much all the bow building videos I can find. Yours are the best. I use those single malt bottle tubes for storing arrows and shafts too!
