I'm going to go on a long rant here bc people who say that they don't like him as a person don't know him as a person, however, everyone & I mean everyone who has meant him personally and who actually knows him loves him to death, they all say how kind, generous & authentic he is & how much they admire & respect him, his my space page comment about Korea was supposedly that Korea is gay but there may have been translation issue, he was young and although he is Korean he was born & raised in the states, he barley spoke the language, wasn't used to the culture or the food, was treated poorly by Korean people bc he didn't speak the language fluently & he was a Gypo ( a Korean who was either born in another country or spent a significant amount of time in another country) and back then Koreans did not consider Gypos real Koreans and they were treated pretty badly, he had no friends, family, and was thrust into this overly controlling training system he was basically miserable & he lashed out, he's human, he is also in no way shape or form homophobic, I always remember this guy who had a YT reaction channel who was thanking Jay Park bc he was the first celebrity to support his channel & how he helped his channel grow with his support, he has also put his social media platforms to good use by posting about social injustices such as the killing of Ahmad Aubrey, Breonna Taylor and he was the first Korean artist to post about the Killing of George Floyd and he doesn't just post a picture, he also talks about the injustice of it all, during Covid he donated money to 4 restaurants in his hometown of Seattle so that could prepare food for the homeless and his artist that live in the states passed the food out, he did this for 4 weeks, he does all his features for free, donates his fees back to Universities for scholarships when he does festivals at the schools and believe me I can go on & on and it's always the people or organizations that he helps that we hear from never Jay, also yes he can rap he was signed to Roc Nation for 3 years and no he does not want to be Chris Brown, bottom line is people shouldn't pass judgment on people they really do not know

I think ppl are still intitled to not like him with the way he went about things especially with black culture. I don't think he's necessarily a bad guy but ppl tend to bot like him for a reason

@@lisa.222 the majority of the people who don't like him are Kpop stans who seem to conveniently forget that Kpop borrows heavily from black culture and seem to forget that Kpop artists have worn braids, dreads & durags and not to mention their use of the n-word on numerous occasions so if they think that Jay Park is guilty of CA why is it they don't seem to think the same thing about Kpop artists are guilty of CA. Of course people have the right to not like him but then don't sit there and react to his music knowing full well that ur just going to be putting him down the entire time, what's the point of that, what purpose does it serve

Kpoppy reacting to the most versatile artist with ur most ignorant comment n unnecessary comments to see on his Mvs. No one has right to judge him without even knowing him personally. If he is that bad person n racist, why so many ppl of different races still work for him n with him also praise him.

THIS!! People are entitled to their own opinions (as long as they are voiced in a respectful manner) but they really need to stop talking as if they know him personally or better than the people that actually know him and have worked with him through out the years (who btw have nothing to say but good things about him). Also isn't it ironic how a lot of the these fans' faves idolize him? If he's that bad of a person and these idols still take him as a role model then isn't that also problematic and worth focusing on? the hypocrisy lol

Someone can have good music, and be a huge influence on an industry and STILL be an awful person. Like Chris Brown.

He's popular in Korea. I guess the public forgave him for it, maybe him going away for a couple years after he left 2PM helped. He's definitely more on the hip-hop/R&B side of music, although he dabbles in pop as well. He launched two record labels, AOMG and H1gher Music that deal with mostly hip-hop and he has a third one called More Vision that he's the current CEO for. I think the Chris Brown comparison is fair in the sense that both sing and dance and both deal in the same genres(the comparison makes sense for later Chris Brown music).
The international side he gets more hate, mainly the stuff he says from time-to-time. I recently saw he did the "Drama" challenge with Aespa's NingNing and there were comments telling her to get away from him, lol. In that sense, it's similar to the hate Super Junior gets from the international audience. But he's done projects with American hip-hop producers, so he's not totally hated.

Jay Park is the dude who got me into Korean music. He's a crazy talented singer, dancer, and rapper. He is from Seattle and originally moved to South Korea to be trained as a K-Pop idol. He went back to SK later to form two of the biggest hip hop labels in Korea and was signed to Roc Nation (Jay-Z's label) for his English music.
I highly recommend you react to Jay Park's killing verse as it lets you hear him as a rapper and a singer. Thanks for reacting to Jay Park!
The hatred for Jay is about 90% manufactured or just straight up lies, and about 10% people being recreationally outraged over stupid things.

Hope we get a part 2
Some of his older tracks are very rap heavy
The actress in the Drive MV is Bora from girl group sistar and apparently she didn't want to get in the car with Jay park lmao
The rapper Grey tbh is more known as a producer and he's produced the majority of jay parks music tho on recent years him and other Aomg producers have gotten more involved in the kpop scene
    I think grey co-produced 1 of onlyoneof's albums

3:06 Why don't we like Jay Park? Well since he’s a rapper, and someone who grew up in the US, the constant CONSTANT appropriation of black culture is just jarring. And he's constantly doubled down on the fact that he should be allowed to appropriate black culture. And he's also said some islamaphobic stuff, a lot of misogynistic stuff and a ton of racist stuff. And he's his own boss, so no one made him do anything, in fact he's ignored his own staff's advice and posted publicly just said racist stuff. Also he's just really egocentric in my opinion. It's a shame his labels have so many good artists under them, because if you’re into khiphop you just can’t avoid him. I know some black ppl still like him, and some don’t. I think his blatant ignorance and disregard for the culture that created the art form that makes him money is weird af.

What are u even talking about 😭, he has never been Misogynistic, racist or islamophobic , u just spamming terms at this point lmfao, he done ca before and applogized and hasnt repeated it himself, even had an magazine on vice talking about cultural appropriation and why its so spread in the industry , other rappers in an mv called dna remix with ton of rappers in 2021 after the apology wore dreads but he was the one getting shit on not them 💀, he said before he can't control what ppl want to do , and he reshot the mv after ppl told him, his views kn cultural appropriation is that if someone has a hairstyle done in a harmless way that dont make fun or belittle blk ppl that there's no problem with it, and that he did this hairstyles as form of cultural appreciation and because he idolises blk ppl and their culture which basically created the genre of his career (hiphop) , if ca makes u racist / means u hate black people then 90% of the kpop industry is racist lol, him having sexy songs/ lyrics don't mean he is Misogynistic 💀 and him using Allah as in God in a song which most rappers do and get no shit for don't mean he's islamophobic lmfao, Allah isn't even a Muslim term only lol, its just means God in arabic ,arab Christians also call God Allah in Arabic lol and he still apologized for it and changed the lyrics

I don't want to argue, and everyone has the right not to like someone. However, it seems you might not be fully aware of his side. The braids incident happened only twice in his 15-year career, and he genuinely apologized, never repeating it. Regarding the DNA music video, he aimed to clarify why young Korean hip-hop artists wore locks, with no intention to mock black culture-they were essentially high schoolers at the time. Regarding Islam, he mentioned Allah once, thinking it's common in hip-hop lyrics, similar to mentioning God. Subsequently, he sincerely apologized and deleted it. I don't see that as Islamophobic. As for misogyny, I couldn't find any evidence. Moreover, he was one of the first Korean artists to address social issues, supporting BLM and pro-Palestinian causes. He actively included BLM messages in his music videos, encouraged label artists to donate, and so on. Those who truly know him speak only positively about him, even IU. In Korea, he is recognized for his commendable personality. That’s why he could host a prominent music show on a strict Korean national broadcast and became an ambassador for brands like Diesel, Adidas, and Gucci. Some toxic K-pop fans try to portray him as a villain, but in reality, he's not. There’re just so much more good things about him. He just doesn’t boast about his good endeavors so non-fans wouldn’t know. If you find it hard to forgive him, that's your prerogative, but let's avoid perpetuating any unfair judgments; you can simply choose to disregard him.

@@dailywert6886 yeah right, he’s literally said that if he’s not allowed to CA, than people can’t use the word “selca” (like anyone’s actually using that outside of Koreans) and how do you know he genuinely apologized? He did repeat it. And for the DNA MV, he’s the CEO. He only made another video because there was so much backlash and that’s not before whining on Twitter. As a black person myself, I don’t think he “genuinely apologized”. And honestly some fans will say it’s “just hair” or “he’s not racist so it doesn’t matter” but I think those are just excuses. I’ve seen people defend some artists who are genuinely terrible people, and I think the people who don’t like Jay Park don’t like him for a genuinely good reason.
