@@jadesides51 The thing is, the infamous meme about finally getting a second geo region is just that - a meme. We won't ever get a bunch of geo characters in a short time window. Unlike other niche units like Shenhe, who is bound to become one of the best supports in the entire game the second Snezhnaya drops - Chiori simply doesn't have that timeline. They might as well never release any more geo units with kits centred around constructs, and to add a second layer to that - there's no guarantee whatsoever that they would end up being good.
@@usmanya5110 There's pretty much no way that she will end up being a flat ATK buffer like Shenhe. She's probably a Crit Rate buffer, an off-field cryo applicator, or something in between. I guess we'll see, in any case, I'm pretty confident that Shenhe will remain relevant.
This situation kind of reminds me of how people thought Yelan might kill Xingqiu when she came out, but ended up buffing eachother and being broken on the same team
Have you considered an Albedo-Chiori duo? It is surprisingly funny to think about since it solves both the single target and AoE problems, provides a geo construct for Chiori and hopefully enough energy to funnel for Chiori's burst. 😅 It feels like a Xingqiu Yelan case, where they work so good together
@@KillingMachine56656 that still worse, the geo resonance didn't activate without a shield (that's why zhongli is almost obligatory in monogeo). Without geo resonance you lose the dmg increase of 15% to all type and the 20% geo res reduction + 20% all res red from zhongli. Run albedo + chiori is worse. And if run gorou have more boost, but still lose all of that (his buff don't compensate the loss of the consonance either)
I’ve had my eye on her since the big 2023 Summer Fontaine leak. I HOPED she was electro or Dendro but here we are. I have no Geo units on my team built, not because I don’t like mono geo, because I’m not really into the characters, well Gorou, he’s too cute. Meta aside, I am pulling because she has things I like. Her design, her weapon type (swords are my fav and dual wield is even better). She’s from Inazuma (my fav nation). And now that we’ve seen her personality, I like her even more. Point being, if you like a character, pull, games are supposed to be fun. I cleared the abyss for a year before I had a Archon. My XL, XQ, Fish and Benny are not built. And I still 36 star. One of those teams being Ayaka Freeze, can you believe >.< (I love proving meta slaves wrong.) 😂 Anyways, if you like her pull her. It’s that simple. You’ll have more fun with a character you like than one you’re forced to build and run just for primos. Hot take: I am also skipping Nahida again, she’s great, her buffs look great, just not into her as a character. Good luck on your pulls!!🎉

"Is It worth?" No. You can clear this games "hardest content" with any assortment of characters paired up with Xiangling, Bennet, Xingqiu and a bit of investment. Pull and build this character only if you like them, you enjoy her playstyle/personality and won't regret grabbing them. Because I can tell you now, she's not making this game any easier to play compared to Furina, Nahida, Neuvilette, Raiden, Zhongli or Alhaithem.
I have honestly never been more dissapointed by a character's element. Beautiful design, but the geo construct-reliant kit? Yuck. You don't even get to use her on-field, as she's literally the first ever character with an auto-swap mechanic. A total skip, I sure as hell ain't pulling Itto to make her an E Q support for a team with less DPS than F2P hyperbloom.
Yeah, chiori is like biggest disappointment for me since wonderer (from 5* at least). Just why, literally geo keqing would be a better kit, than sub dps for garbage units like itto, such a waste, and half of her kit is locked behind c1 and c2. If they didnt rework her entirely to be main dps or her c2 state at c0 she is complete skip, and she would go to never pull characters list
Wanderer is fantastic. I don't use him in combat much (I use Yoimiya when I'm in a mood for normal attacks), but in terms of exploration he power creeps everyone.
Tbh a sub dps for subpar units like Itto is a pretty good way to make his team viable again. Especially a sub dps that does TONS of damage, while F2P Itto teams lack damage. C1 tho is scummy
if this is albedo powercreep then honestly it isn't something to be impressive. this is worse than the Ayato and neuvillette case cause Ayato at least has some use cases on some teams despite neuvillette beating him everywhere. like for example not a meta team but still good like burgeon, and he's hydro so he would have it less rough then Albedo. i could see chiori and albedo being run together in mono geo but replacing Zhongli means survivability is even worse, And gorou wants to battery the team with exile and crit for fav so he's not gonna heal alot.
I don't think the problem is survivality, after all you can just dodge and healerless teams have been a thing since forever. I think the main problem would be keeping geo resonance working since it needs a shield and you'd have to rely on crystalize which i don't think would be consistent at all considering not all enemies have an element already applied like slimes

As Zajeff mentioned previously, geo has an identity in geo construct resonance, so Chiori's kit revolving around geo constructs actually makes perfect sense. I am honestly excited to see where they are going to take geo following Chiori as I can see what Hoyo's trying to do here. They're trying to provide a better benefit for embracing geo's identity: geo construct resonance
Does anyone ACTUALLY like playing around geo constructs? Between them blocking off your own characters, getting destroyed by bosses, sometimes elevating enemies/yourself out of attack range, not functioning well nearby pre-existing terrain etc. I mean, there's a reason why Hoyoverse has not released a construct character after Itto, and Ushi acts less as a construct, and more like a non-obstructive pet. (And thank God for that)
Yea no. It's Genshins policy NOT to go back and directly fix characters regardless of how glaring their inadequacies are. Hence why Qiqi is still despised, Albedo gets his structure destroyed, Dehya is still horrendous, and people are still scared to c6 Bennet.
The issue is that geo constructs suck mega ass. At least with Ning, you kind of WANT to break her screen so you can summon another one. Zhongli is the worst offender as any particles just don't exist without the dong, and you lose skill hit based artifacts and weapons because of it, also geo application if you actually want it / geo dmg for artis. Geo is just in such an absolute mess of a state right now that it's just awful. Albedo loses EVERYTHING because his flower is so fragile and garbage. They NEED to make it so that if the construct is destroyed, a "phantom version" remains to keep effects going, the phantom attacks can do literally zero dmg if they want, just allow them to exist for resonance purposes or applying artifact effects or whatever...it's just such a dead element. Navia is ideal, and that's hilarious considering you don't even give a damn if it's geo, you just use bennett and Furina or Mona with Zhongli, characters that you are using not because they are geo, but despite it. It's yellow physical.
Honnestly i'd prefer if they stayed as far away as possible from constructs, playing around them feels awful, some of them stand in the way like Geo Traveler's god awful 5 total constructs with E+Q, others get destroyed easily and lose value like Albedo, and some suffer from BOTH problems like Zhongli, then there's Ushi who's the most comfy one but also a construct in name only cuz he works more like a taunt and i don't even know if he resonates with Zhongli's pillar, i'm probably gonna pull her anyway because i love her design and personality but god damn i hope i get lucky with her C1 so i don't have to bother.

I would have considered pulling her, but neither Noelle, nor Gorou generate geo constructs for her passive. And im not going to pull for her c1 either. Ah well. Guess Yunjin's sticking around for a while yet. They should just forget the construct thing, and just make her passive activate off other geo characters.
Chiori would still be a considerable upgrade over Yun Jin, but honestly I'm still giving Albedo highest priority in that team for his superior AoE and repositionable skill. Chiori might come in for bosses, or in place of Furina if I wanna use her on another team/enjoy the novelty of pure Geo.

To my average f2p and dolphins, just get Albedo since he’s good with c0. She’s just a cash grab since you need c1 to be good. Hoyoverse are being greedy than making Albedo better
I just wish her burst do something special other than just a single nuke like making her teammates scale on defense based on her defense added on her team stats just like her dual scaling. In that way, our unwanted def stats on artifacts can be used as well
Now I want to check for an opinion on my situation I have with Chiori. Now I do know that Husk set and Golden Troupe are without a doubt her two best artifact sets. Now I recently remembered when I was using Artifact Strongbox the other night for Husk pieces while farming Golden Troupe I saw my Nighttime Whispers pieces and I was like oh that's right I have some really good ones I saved and because she is split scaling I decided since I legit have a 4 piece set with REALLY good stats that I would possibly use them. 2 Piece covers a free 18%Attack and to get the use Crystalize I was thinking Kuki or somebody useful to activate that Bonus Geo Damage from the 4 piece set. Not saying set wise it beats out the other two but that its a usable option since I don't have to waste time farming. So since she has 19 Crit Rate from Ascension I was going to use Black Sword so her Crit Rate is basically covered. My Feather is Def %, Def, Att %, and Crit DMG. Both my Def % Sands AND Def% Goblet are Crit Rate, Crit Dmg, HP, ER%. Lastly my Crit DMG Circlet is HP, HP%, Def %, and Att %. My Flower 5th piece would be anything I have to cover lack of whatever I need most likely extra Crit stats and ER. Not saying it amazing but the stat options are too good to not level and use them.
Her c0 remains lacklustre with albedo. Bare in mind bosses knocks down the constructs easily. Even if her doll does not dissapear after the geo construct is taken down. Albedo will still left without a team dps contribution until he rotates back in. I doubt hoyoverse will change her kit as its pretty much proven now that hoyoverse rarely listen to feedback.. I reckon we should save our freemogems. Such a pity for a beutifully designed character.
I wish they added healing to her sub dps kit. I mean imagine fighting those dogs using mono geo without needing to think u must have gorou with constellation or use noelle to fight those...Also I wish we could somehow use Geo Construct in a way it will control enemy movement like at least being able to stagger them or like similar to venti's role but of course a bit worse due to element yet deals good amount of raw dmg. Perhaps how Faruzan's burst on c6 works but with the use of rock itself or maybe like a manifestation of solid contrast (Into a hand) gathering enemies or pushing them into center together . That can be good especially we are bound to get overload reaction into something that makes sense.
I dont care but, I am using her as my Main DPS as she is voiced by Ayana Taketatsu (my favorite seiyuu). I am playing genshin the WAIFU way, not the Meta way, but a slightly Meta way too if possible
She isn't a battery, can't be used with Navia optimally unless its triple Geo (which neuters Navia's damage output), and also is more single target focused. It's more of a sidegrade
Honestly I'm happy with Chiori's design I was only ever going to use imher in Mono Geo Itto team anyway and she's a straight up upgrade in that team hopefully it puts Itto back on the map
i think she looks cool it looks like her cons are like, way way way better than Albedos by a lot? and i really like Albedo, so she might be my next long term project.
The fact that her dolls are not geo constructs just baffles me. Like Ushi is a living cow, the dolls are more of a construct than he is. Also, her being a .5 character makes her feel standardish. I hope to god I'm wrong.

She isn't a battery, can't be used with Navia optimally unless its triple Geo (which neuters Navia's damage output), and also is more single target focused. It's more of a sidegrade
Honestly I'm happy with Chiori's design I was only ever going to use imher in Mono Geo Itto team anyway and she's a straight up upgrade in that team hopefully it puts Itto back on the map

The fact that her dolls are not geo constructs just baffles me. Like Ushi is a living cow, the dolls are more of a construct than he is.
Also, her being a .5 character makes her feel standardish. I hope to god I'm wrong.
