I don’t think he was that great a boxer but after seeing him getting lit up by Lucas Matthysse for 12 rounds and ending up looking like Mr. Potato Head, all without being stopped, dropped or even stunned left me in awe.
Haglar HAS to be no 1 The 1st round "knockdown" against Roldan was a clear slip, and Haglar protested to the ref as such.. I cannot count that...Aside from that, he never went down as amateur or pro... He fought the hardest punchers not only in his division, but the best from that weight class in history. Never ever saw him even staggered...Incredible,. He went to war for three rounds with Hearns says everything about his chin... Best 3 rounds in boxing history.
& his career ended with a robbery, manipulated into giving every concession to the fake that SRL had become. Without the despicable, corrupt antics of SRL & the WBC (see donny lalonde), there would be no FW. Would Hagler have agreed to a fight against McGregor, or Hearns, or SRR, or their like? The simple answer is no.....what a fucking travesty boxing has become, commonplace to avoid anyone considered a match. fighters skipping 2 weight divisions & getting a title fight (khan, brook) with no hope of winning, just getting a big payday. Did champions before SRL get to choose the size of the ring, the referee, the weight of the gloves, the venue, the date, the opponent even? Larry Holmes, a dominant world champion came in first against Cooney, thanks to SRL & his bullshit.Fighters blaming their losses on "i had nothing to fight for" (the public forgetting they are prizefighters) or my gumshield wasn't fitting, or i had to lose too much weight, or my lucky socks got shrunk. Earning tens of millions & fighting only once every 12-18 months, it's all a farce
Tough as he may be, if a guy has a visible broken jaw from 10ft away the fight should be ended. This type of thing should differentiate boxing from bar fights.

if you look at him carefully he actually has the same face shape as Amir Khan. I used to think only people with wide-set jaws like David Tua had great chins but Froch is the argument against that lol
Leaving out Chris Eubank from a greatest chins list is a felony. Took the best shots Benn had to offer, 2 fights with Carl Thompson at cruiserweight, was a 12 round punchbag for Calzaghe. He was knocked down on occasions but he was never hurt or on wobbly legs in his entire career. Despite being rather easy to hit.
Oliver McCall is my No. 1 chin ever, a journeyman who became champion. He really ate the biggest shots one could imagine taking with ease. Freakish in the best of ways.
Yeah if he had stayed with Cus he may have been legitimately placed right next to Ali at the top of the mountain of greats. Don destroyed him and his career.
Cus died before Tyson became undisputed in 1988. Tyson went off the rails before his prison sentence too. Around the time of Buster Douglas is when Tyson started doing drugs and alcohol and partying all night long, including the night before Douglas. He never had what it took mentally to keep himself in check. The prison sentence was just the final nail on the coffin.
Little Jimmy you are right, my bad it was Rooney that Don convinced Tyson to fire. When Cus died Rooney took up Tyson’s training which still included the peek a boo style.
Raas Putin, a prime Tyson would put anybody away except for the clinchers. A few of them were able to use their height to evade punches and clinch anytime Tyson got inside. But nobody would be able to beat him or out point him. Too evasive, too strong, too fast, the best ever.
You're videos, documentaries, whatever you want to call them are so well written. Visually the footage you use and the music combination are remarkable. Well done! I truly enjoy watching you're footage. Keep'em coming! God Bless and Stay Safe!
Chuvalo is one impressive man given the amount of fights and punches he took and the era he boxed in add to that the tragedy he dealt with he deserves the utmost respect. Honourable mention for Chris Eubanks, Dwight Braxton, Eric Morales, Mickey Ward and many others who make boxing such an amazing sport.
Absolutely!! Even Ali said that the toughest fighter he ever faced was George Chuvalo (aka "Washer-Woman)!! 97 Pro bouts; he never kissed the canvas!! Chuvalo deserves to be in the Top 5 iron chins of all time!!
The look on Canelo face at 10:19 is priceless. He hit GGG with a perfect right cross that almost snap his neck around and GGG just walk casually forward. That shit is demoralizing as shit.
Foreman hit Chuvalo with a left hook in their fight that would have floored him if the ropes had not been there. Amazingly, he took incredible punishment the rest of the round, but never came close to going down again
I think Chuvalo would have won if they hadn't stopped the fight. Foreman was visibly losing power and we all know back then he didn't have a whole lot of stamina.
To tell you that Sugar Ray was a power puncher with one of the fastest hands and possibly has the best punching combinations while that Jake stood there and took it and even won.
Fullshark 09 Tony Tucker had a decent chin. Took a lot of clean punches from Tyson and wasn't knocked down until Lennox Lewis faced him and then he got knocked out by Herbie Hide and John Ruiz.
Raitis Pujats Nah I've seen plenty of them knocked on their ass. You are talking about Tua and Parker the very elite best of the best toughest of the toughest not some average bum at the bar
I saw a nigga hit a Tongan guy as hard as he could and the dude didn't flinch. Seriously this is one of the hardest punches I've seen thrown IRL and that dude just ate it and took him to the ground
Sugar Ray Robinson should be here only once in his 19 losses he didn't go the full distance of the fight and because of the heat temperature in his bout against joey maxim
16:26 chivalo had a chin of granite no doubt about that but Foreman was on his way to skipping the canvas and sending him straight to the grave before his corner saved his life in just the 3rd round in 1970. That was a horrendous fight to watch back but imo a corner stoppage disqualifies any no canvas kissing record. He was spewing cartoon amounts of blood not even defending himself. You’ve gotta go the distance to make that claim. Contrast that to Ribalta vs Tyson TKO which at that point the ref was just looking after his health but Jose was surely going the distance albeit to his own detriment.
I somehow forgot to add my intro but basically I excluded defensive minded fighters like Floyd and Toney despite them having solid chins

@@bamaraffle8785ur a bum
If it wasnt for rugby some monster boxers could have came out of the south pacific islands
The DANK Zenon true bro
Mark Hunt, he's not a boxer but he's a good example.
True david tua is an example joseph parker is not he probibly was to weak for rugby team 😂
There are also some black guys that got into football that I think may have been good heavyweight boxers but they never got into boxing.
@@LoganCharlesII yaya toure as a boxer
I feel like you could also have included Ruslan Provodnikov - that guy was made out of something else. I don’t think he was that great a boxer but after seeing him getting lit up by Lucas Matthysse for 12 rounds and ending up looking like Mr. Potato Head, all without being stopped, dropped or even stunned left me in awe.
I would even add maidana to the mix.
@@merryjoy48 Maidana got knocked down 3 times by Ortiz.
Haglar HAS to be no 1
The 1st round "knockdown" against Roldan was a clear slip, and Haglar protested to the ref as such..
I agree. Took the words right out my mouth
Nobody counts that because it wasn't a knock down. Hagler just got mad at beat up Roldan worse.
He got his jaw broken and still kept fighting.
No way you can beat a guy like that
Recap of aj parker / heavyweight division news. ... im an addict to boxing legends tv i need more!!!!
I AGREE
Yea we need that
yes please
It won't have any footage, as it will get taken down. Shame as these kinds of videos are really good to watch.
Always look forward to your videos yours is the very best boxing channel on TH-cam
I agree wit your comment bill bob.😁
h
Tough as he may be, if a guy has a visible broken jaw from 10ft away the fight should be ended. This type of thing should differentiate boxing from bar fights.
If someone wants to continue, what business is it of yours?
@@MastaSmack Well, as a fan i agree that it should be stopped, as a fighter i will fight even with a missing leg and broken neck, we dont always know whats best for us
@@ComanderComander This is my body, not yours...I did not appoint anyone to Lord over me, nor do I want or ask for guidance in my life's journey. Love That Part with Ali
I Love how you use oldschool songs from artists like mobb deep
ikr i was gna say the same thang
I'd argue that Gatti didn't have a great chin. He got rocked and knocked down/out often. But his heart kept him going.
there's no argument gatti has a wicked chin look at his wars with mickey ward the man has a chin and the biggest heart
Cause he had no defense
Well, guess I gotta watch Raging Bull tonight.
Great video, as always.
With a face like Froch, you got to have a chin like Granite 🥊
80,000...
Kyále lol
if you look at him carefully he actually has the same face shape as Amir Khan. I used to think only people with wide-set jaws like David Tua had great chins but Froch is the argument against that lol
Ouch! How about his nose? LOL. Froch was unwavering I agree. Respect.
Gabriel Johannson The Cobra's Conk is legendary. He got that shit shaved down as soon as he retired good on him lmao
Rip gatti ❤ what a bloke!!
Man I miss Gatti
Gotti, you mean Gatti
Foolish Demon stupid auto correct
wow horrifying story. So she drugged and strangled him...
I can't imagine having a broken chin and then taking even more punches to the chin.
That shit would hurt like a bitch
And still wining the fight afterwards
I don’t think you can feel it if it’s broken
@@PrinceOfEmotions-cq1tj hurts like shit my guy I’ve had bones broken and they don’t just get numb 😂
Beautifully curated during the Ali segment
Ray Mercer definitely one of the best chins out there with Arturo gatti this is such a good video I freaking love boxing
Your videos are like a comfortable ride that I never want to end.
thats how i feel too lol
when it nears the end im like "what, already?"
When you consider Vitali and Wladimir are brothers it's a mystery how they have such hugely contrasting chins.
10:17 the look in Canelos eyes 😂😂😂
Kyále he was like WTF is wrong with him. Why he aimt sleeping
Lol when he realized he was fighting a fighter of his caliber😂
My favorite punch of the fight
That punch broke Canelo's soul and knocked out Amir Khan through Pay Per View
Just walking him down
I'm sure Abraham's chin is pretty much bulletproof, now that it's reinforced with titanium.
Margarito shouldn’t be included in any videos alongside the other greats of boxing..
His cheating ruined careers.
Cannot believe you didn't at least mention James Braddock, Joe Louis called him the toughest man he'd ever fought. Amazing chin
Louis knocked him out with 1 punch
Rip Marvelous Marvin, always in our hearts.
9:00 that's an Elbow.I don't blame Mike Tyson for biting his ear off.
Holyfield was a known headbutt and elbow cheater his entire career I don't blame Tyson either
"Good thing they stopped the fight 'cause I wanted to get killed." Damn!
Oliver McCall is my No. 1 chin ever, a journeyman who became champion. He really ate the biggest shots one could imagine taking with ease. Freakish in the best of ways.
The best Mike Tyson had to offer? He was a bum compared to the Tyson of the late 80's
Should have never got involved with the Don.
ariel p lolz.. Yeah Tyson was passed his prime when he fought evander, you can tell.. 80s Mike could beat anyone at that time..
Just when I thought I was going to fall asleep on my job, thank you boxing legends 🥊 💯
This is a masterpiece. Fair and objective, fantastic footage, good editing, decent commentator
This guy has the best boxing channel by far. He gets canned a lot sadly due to copyrights issues.
@@deeznutz8320 Cheers mate makes sense
Missed Sugar Ray Robinson.
200 pro fights and never knocked out.
he had a tko loss
Lone Star it's because his defense
Joey Maxium is credited with stipping him. Although, it was the heat
It’s because he didn’t take a beating like these other guys did.
@@wakawaka1976 He took a beating later in his career. Many of those 200 fights were where he was past his prime.
I am sorry but the Lennox in them glasses 😂
You're videos, documentaries, whatever you want to call them are so well written. Visually the footage you use and the music combination are remarkable. Well done! I truly enjoy watching you're footage. Keep'em coming! God Bless and Stay Safe!
David Tua better be on this list.
Did you not watch the video ? Of course he's on the list.
Braveheart he’s new here
Chuvalo is one impressive man given the amount of fights and punches he took and the era he boxed in add to that the tragedy he dealt with he deserves the utmost respect.
12:05 wow, Hagler looks like intelligent Floyd Mayweather
Foreman hit Chuvalo with a left hook in their fight that would have floored him if the ropes had not been there. Amazingly, he took incredible punishment the rest of the round, but never came close to going down again
I think Chuvalo would have won if they hadn't stopped the fight. Foreman was visibly losing power and we all know back then he didn't have a whole lot of stamina.
Lol. Foreman would have killed him if it hadn't been stopped.@@quillanjacobson8952
To tell you that Sugar Ray was a power puncher with one of the fastest hands and possibly has the best punching combinations while that Jake stood there and took it and even won.
Jake *Thug Life* Lamotta
Tony tucker? Joshua clottey? Rocky marciano?
Didn't know about marion wilson or maxie rosenbloom btw. Very illustrative video
Fullshark 09 Tony Tucker had a decent chin. Took a lot of clean punches from Tyson and wasn't knocked down until Lennox Lewis faced him and then he got knocked out by Herbie Hide and John Ruiz.
Absolutely, #! LaMotta, but Rocky Marciano should be there too.

I saw a nigga hit a Tongan guy as hard as he could and the dude didn't flinch. Seriously this is one of the hardest punches I've seen thrown IRL and that dude just ate it and took him to the ground
Charlie Digital That's anecdotal evidence that's the exception not the rule.
What about Rocky Balboa?
Justin Garza I'm dead
what about Homer Simpson?
Really?😯

That tribute to Ali just warmed my heart. Good on ya brother.
Rocky Marciano
Indeed, the Rock should have been on this video.
2:20? Did that announcer say a "wet dream of orgasmic proportions!" 😂😂😂
Yesss 😂
That's actually a soccer commentator. It was from a soccer match
Broken jaw and he still won respect
Holyfield, Foreman, GGG, Lamotta
Foreman is there
Fighting with a broken jaw = super human toughness
I searched for 'unbreakable chins' and in the first clip: "... in round 5 his jaw is broken." I should've been more specific.
Rest In Peace to the one and only Iron Bull Jake Lamotta. Will forever be remembered as the legend he was. Rest easy
Sugar Ray Robinson should be here only once in his 19 losses he didn't go the full distance of the fight and because of the heat temperature in his bout against joey maxim
That Tua vs Ike bout was something else. Y'all gotta go watch it. Straight warriors the both of them
But at the end of it one was ok and one had brain damage. Roids won that fight.
Homer Simpson should be first
Peter Griffin when he fights that Rooster >?
Rocky Balboa
2:02 that's Ray Hudson commentating on Messi's goal.. Lol
2:12 the comentary y from a football match, for being more precise, a goal from cristiano ronaldo againts atletico de madrid
