I really wish Derek made an appearance here for Amelia, even if he would’ve been angry at her it would’ve been nice to focus more on the Shepherd family drama surrounding this turning point in Amelia’s life. It would’ve been nice to see their Mother too and the sisters. I understand scheduling and production dates factor into it, but it would’ve added so much more to this storyline if Amelia’s family made an appearance.She was in the facility for 50 days after all, that’s a long time. I really appreciated this storyline but the whole care facility plot felt a bit rushed. I just wish the Shepherd’s made an appearance.

When Amelia is in recovery and goes to Seattle to get Derek to help with Erica Warner’s Gliosarcoma Amelia and Derek talk about the rehab and the recovery. Amelia was estranged from her sisters because of how they treated her. Derek and Amelia worked on their relationship but the Shepherd family dynamic was always fractured. The only thing Amelia didn’t tell her family about was her baby that died.
Landry Reagan actually now studies said that life for a baby begins before conception, in the sense that the mother's body and previous disease and everything has an impact in de development of the fetus

Landry Reagan if you actually look on medical websites like Mayo.. you’ll see that Drugs can increase the risk.
