@@Aryan-ur4nz ya I myself had did my entire schooling at a CISCE school ( St. Joseph's ) and it's worth studying there...There I developed a broad mindset to think above the damn social norms prevelent in the society and these dirty, corrupt and crap politics and to think beyond the religion, caste , class or any types of social background even national boundaries..more as the global citizen rather as a regional one.

First of all I would like to remind all the people of INDIA that La Martiniere for boys kolkata is neither a Catholic school nor a protestant school , but it's a school run in the form a trust under THE WILL OF MAJOR GENERAL CLAUDE MARTIN .So calling it a minority school is something wrong. Secondly our respected CHIEF MINISTER should know very well that as per the Will of major general Claudie Martin , any decision to be taken in the running of the management of la martiniere should be actually taken by 12 members in the BOARD OF GOVERNORS. But sadly our respected CHIEF MINISTER does not know that this is not happening. So the necessary quoram required to run the school by the BOARD OF GOVERNORS is imperfect. In this regard the HONOURABLE HIGH COURT OF CALCUTTA and the HONOURABLE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA has the final say if there is any irregularities reported.So I would request our CHIEF MINISTER to know all these details well first before she speaks to the Authorities of La Martiniere for boys kolkata. People of kolkata it's high time you come out of your SLUMBER and know the reality.
The benefactor of La Martiniere Mr Paul Chater supported financially when La Martiniere was about to close down......You are very true in your point that it isnt a minority school....but Didi isnt completely wrong either....she didnt blame any board members neither any particular staff or principal but rather said that there are middle man or middle agencies who are acting on behalf of the school and taking donations for admissions...This should be looked after.A proper investigation team needs to be set....

I just don't able to understand that if the parents of those students are willing to give that amount of donation for the shake of admission of their child in Prestigious La Martinier then their what's wrong in this. I mean if it doesn't matters to people then why these politicians. Why does it require for them to make an interference in each and every private or personal affairs and create a loud issue out of them, very much to serve their own motives and get mass attention from every possible agenda. It's a democratic nation that doesn't mean that every right of a person or an organization should be taken in public. We should and must respect everyone's right and authority. Specifically in this matter also to describe that taking donation is not a new thing or illigel its a very much part of the system carried over everywhere especially in private institutions, even in developed nation like of Europe and America institutions their do take donations to grant admissions and that too most prestigious institutions of world with full openess. Keeping in mind the well being of the general community the State government has the right to ask schools to rein in fees. It has been done as per supreme Court orders in NCR and UP and Gujarat which serve as precedents. The matter of donation is entirely different and may be considered a part of the Anti Corruption Laws in India.
Right bro, there's no wrong in doing so. These politicians make issue of everything without knowing anything. Sad reality of today's society is that people can easily be influenced as they rarely use their intellect over anything especially in India.
What donation, they are charging 1.6 lakhs for admission, which in itself is very high at lower nursery
