Waw thanks alot for this great reactions ❤️ I'm a Super junior fan since 2006 and I'm so in love with everything they do, so can you react to their songs (swing - shirt (comeback stage) - Mamasita - lo siento) those songs have amazing choreographies I'm sure you will like them ❤ ❤
SuJu hates SPY because the choreo is impossible to do with the line up changes they went through the years. Heechul's injury aside constant military enlistments have played a part in how they create their dances in a way that would suit live performances with more or fewer members. Even with that Ryeowook (the main vocalist with the high voice) refused to join Black Suit when he returned from the army because he just can't do it lol. Its funny because he is not that bad at all and known for his extremely stable singing dancing live. Instead for that tour they revamped Mamacita (where Yesung and Donghae had taken over the main vocals) so there is a Mamacita Ryeowook version, I'm not sure if a full version can be found here but you must check it out!
My bias is the Teddy Bear Shindong. The only plus size K-idol. His talent is enough to have the haters silence. As Super Junior members describes his value to the group... "WE HAVE SHINDONG." Simply we need nothing/no one else because our boy SHINDONG got us and has been holding us down all these years. Shindong talent is out of this world. It was said on the show Knowing Brothers that amongst the TOP DANCERS in SM Entertainment. Shindong stands above them all... trainees practice to his dance tutorial made back when he was a trainee himself. He's also a great director, comedian, rapper, actor, host and vocalist. He's directed for EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, and many more.
I'm loving your Super Junior week, in the end, you will probably turn into an ELF too. A curious fact about SPY music is that Suju always seems to hate this song...and so this turns into a joke between SuJu and ELF, but the truth is that choreography is difficult to dance without the whole group, so when they are asking to dance this music...they always complain because the group was never totally complete again.
Ahh I see, I'm not surprised! This choreography is on such a technical level it only makes sense they would feel that way =)

SPY Choreo is my fav of all SJ's choreo, but there is an inside joke where SJ hates SPY (because its hard, the move and formations) LOL Also i love Super Clap choreo, because its the first choreo i can dance to in 10 years I stan SJ 😂

Well, Suju don't really have big, explosive and complicated dance movements like most of kpop boy group nowadays, but there's always fun movements that everyone could copy 😁 And seeing Eunhyuk dancing is always a pleasure, he's sharp but flowy(?) lol at least that's what it seems to me, I know nothing about dance lol

I discovered Super Junior through watching Siwon Choi's dramas during Covid19 iso, and there's just something about him that draws the eye, even in that super talented group of young men. (Siwon is the one in the white suit who keeps disappearing into the background!) I've been a SuJu fan for just a short time but their journey from 2005 is all available online. I'm beginning to realise that Siwon's role as visual and centre has limited the appreciation of his singing and dancing skills, but I reckon he's pretty good at both!
My bias is Donghae 8:35 and bias wrecker is Eunhyuk (7:14) they are such an awesome duo!

At 4:21 (in your vid) that part the center could do any random dance moves while the members at the side copy him, it’s really fun!!

The guy in the white suit in the “Devil” Performance MV is Choi Siwon, my bias. And he’s one of the most precious men in the world. He came from a notable rich family (but he chose to be an entertainer and has been supporting himself ever since), hes super humble, hes insanely good looking, hes a giftef actor who won many awards for his acting performances, hes a UNICEF ambassador, and hes out main visual in our beloved Super Junior who also sings and dances very well; he’s also such a sweetheart to other members ❤️. The one in the blue suit in “Devil” Performance MV is my bias wrecker, EunHyuk, the main dancer and main rapper. And i love the fact that you love the “Spy” choregraphy. Its definitely one of my faves as well, but on the contrary SuJu members hate it. Because the choreo is pretty complex (with lots of formations-changes) and it requires full-members to be perfectly executed. And since they have been goin without full-members (due to military services, and several members quitting from time to time) they began to refuse performing “Spy” live, and it has also become an internal joke between them. Variety TV Show Hosts often play the intro of “Spy” purposively just to tease them because they would react funnily whenever the song comes up, asking people to just skip the song 😂

My bias is the white suit guy .. his name is Choi Siwon and he is the one who dragged me into Suju 13 yrs ago with his drama actually !!
I remember seeing them live back when smtown came to Madison Square Garden back in like 2010 and it was one of the best days of my life. They were so incredible and so much fun. I'm really so glad that you're having SUJU week. So many 'new'ish kpop fans haven't given them a chance or taken the time to get to know them, but they're kings of the industry.
fun fact: hyukjae was scouted to become a dancer for michael jackson's world tour but he turned down the offer to stay in super junior.
i've been an ELF since 2010, the whole of super junior is my bias (but kangin is still my ultimate bias even though he's left the group), i'm just starting to branch out into the wide world of kpop besides suju and they have made my standards so high
my personal favorite suju songs are: don't don, happiness, it's you, mr. simple, shake it up, and tok tok tok (it's a super junior-t song and a little weird but i love the super show 3 performances for it)
Although I love all the members of Super Junior pretty equally. I would have to say my bias is Henry, however, he is not in any of these videos you watched because he is one of SuJu's Chinese members and he is only part of Super Junior-M, their Mandarin Chinese sub-unit. So if you want to see who he is you will have to check out some of Super Junior-M's songs or some of Henry's solo work. :D
You have noticed that Super Junior has a lot of classic "old school" dance moves, however, to them they aren't old school. The members of Super Junior range in age from 37-30 so those moves are classic moves to them. They were there in the beginning when those moves were brand new and they were one of the groups to bring those new moves to the Kpop industry and make them what they are today. :D
Super Junior doesn't very often release dance practice videos, and the "dance practice" video for "Super Clap," is one of their first in a really long time, and as you saw, in true SuJu form, it's unlike any dance practice video you have ever seen. Super Junior is actually known for having some of the most iconic and catchy choreographies and everyone knows them for their dancing, so it's sort of odd that they don't release more dance practice footage. (That's not to say they don't have traditional dance practice videos -- a number of their songs do have dance practice videos if you search for them -- it's just less common.) My theory is that they are such an OG group, that has been around since before dance practice videos where ever a thing, they have now kind of gained the unique reputation for not having dance practice videos, so they don't feel the need to release them. SHINee was the very first Kpop group to ever release a dance practice video back in 2010, so until then dance practice footage released for mainstream audiences wasn't a thing. You still don't often see second gen or older groups releasing dance practice footage, at least not on a regular basis. Kpop's third generation started around 2010, so dance practice videos became more of common practice for those groups and beyond.
Fun fact: I'm pretty sure Shindong -- who is a lead dancer, lead rapper and vocalist of Super Junior -- produced the "Super Clap" dance practice video and he used his video editing skills to do some fun things with the footage. Shindong owns his own video production company and he has produced several of Super Junior's recent MVs, as well as MVs for some of SM's other artists, etc. He is starting to make a name for himself as an accomplished video editor and producer.
Another fun fact: SuJu dreads having to perform "Spy." The choreography is very complicated. So they all have a very hard time remembering the choreography, and because of that they hate to perform it off the cuff. The choreography is all about being spies so they weave in and out and around each other as part of the choreography which makes it hard, especially without all the members to do it together. Late to the party but I'm loving your reactions to Super Junior. I'm pretty sure it has been more than 5 years since I last watched 'Spy' mv so this really brings back memories. 'Spy' wasn't really highly acknowledged by fans but I too really like the dance because of the sick transitions and Super Junior definitely slayed the concept. Thank you for the reaction!
Suju is the best. Hands down they got the best vocals in kpop.

So glad you chose SPY to react to. It's rare to see a reactioner doing reactions to SPY. Because the choreo is difficult and with the numbers of members atvthe time constantly changing (due to military enlistmen) SPY is one of the songs that ELF rarely get to see.

I forgot in which country, during their recent Super Show concert, the ELF audience started singing SPY, that caugth them off guard, and all they could do was laugh coz they forgot the choreo..LoL..

Not sure if you know but HeeChul was in an accident and badly hurt his leg and was told he shouldn't dance as hard or to not dance at all but he did anyway because he loves it and his leg ended up not healing properly so now he can't dance with the members anymore, but hes still part of Super Junior, he just didn't want to hold the members back. So sometimes he comes out on the last verse or he just doesn't tour/perform with them
My bias at the moment is yesung (8:04) and the rest is my bias wreckers since i could switch from one to another after one video or one songs, their charms aren't joke you know

suju definitely does have the most entertaining dance practices. if you look up any super show performance of Devil, you'll see them clowning around during the improv section (the most recent performance on the "World is One" concert really takes the cake)
i remember i loved ryeowook (the one with the strawberry blond hair in Devil, who also has the "boom boom boom" solo line in Super Clap's bridge) at the very beginning, but i find myself leaning towards eunhyuk now

So I was thinking about their debuted stage as Super Junior, when. They became 13 instead of 12 and were no longer threatened by being a rotational group but there are many versions 🤣. The song name is "U" a song from 2008.

The dance moves in that song are pretty much known by any other kgroup out there. It's one of the songs that made the Kpop wave what it is today (it helped made Kpop known outside of Asia). I'd also rec D&E' 'Bout You MV. There's a lot from the subgroup Donghae&Eunhyuk to rec you (they are the main dancers in Suju, plus Shindong, so most of their songs involve fun dances), but 'Bout You is my current fave.

Idk... I often forget to appreciate Suju's performance... but when I try to watch other groups, 1, 2 ,3 songs I still enjoy them, but then I'll come back to suju's videos to realize once again how much I love their harmonious vocals and fun dance -though sadly idk much about both.
tmi: SPY is like its name, Suju hates it! They erase that song and dance in their memory kkk. . .
However ELF has been challenging them since 2017 (2015?), so they promised to do it 'someday' in the future.

Super junior m including donghae, eunhyuk, siwon, kyuhyun, ryeowook, sungmin, henry and zhoumi. There are also have soloist in super junior which are donghae (song: perfect, lost), kyuhyun (song: aewol-ri, the day when we meet again live performance), ryeowook (song: little prince, I'm not over you), yesung (song: here i am, paper umbrella, pink magic) and heechul (song: falling blossom with min kyung hoon who is from buzz, old movie, wish).
