As a lecturer in a govt engineering college, I can say this is a good thing. AICTE is responsible for this mess. By allowing private engineering colleges to mushroom all over India, without any quality checks, AICTE has ruined engineering. Education funds have reduced in govt colleges, affecting quality even further . Engineering syllabus have been stagnant and research is not promoted.

Bhai I did btech from NIT JSR and mtech from IITD and believe me there are plenty of jobs for every department here.
Its that these private colleges has no value, only the popular ones gets you one that too under certain bond factors and restricted salary.
So guys go for JEE, if you cannot try out for Bsc and Msc from reputed govt colleges.

College is not the only problem but also the students who got admission in those TIER4/3 colleges as their basic concepts are not clear and they are not much interested in studying. During their whole BE/Btech curriculum these students doesn't do anything other than just passing their semesters. *_They are not getting good job bcoz they are not skilled enough to get a good job_* . Whoever done their 4 yrs BE/Btech curriculum sincerely are employed . _*Only those people are Unemployed who where not so sincere at the time their coursework_*.Infact its a great initiative to stop producing bad quality Engineers by reducing this much numbers of seats.

I am a civil engineer. 2016 pass out after completing my degree I found a job as a site engineer..my salary was 8000 rupees only.and the joking part is that a new supervisor also can gain 8000.its a hard working period about 12 hrs and many time it exceeds.i was a good learner and in only few months I can command any situation which is far better than many experience engineers but unfortunately in 2017 my salary does not increases and now 2018 I hv quite my job.........and now a days realstate market goes down and down....

It is very sad to hear this news.
It is true that Engineers don't have the jobs in hand after completing their B.E/B.Tech education.
Perhaps,Due to mass colleges to provide Enggineering degrees and students in huge count going for the same.
Somewhere this lead to Improper Technical or Field based knowledge to students.
As companies need the latest technology knowledged students but students didn't have updated themselves due to their Education Syllabus and Curriculum.
And more saddest news is that, I am getting pass-out in next 10 days.

1: In India 80% of private Engineering college are just for making money.. They don't want to enhance the knowledge of student. Thus student have to suffer for job outside.
2: Ard 70% of Student on these private Engineering are not fit for engineering as they lack engineering skill...I have seen student very poor in physics,maths or English are doing Engineering as have no choice or forced by parents to do so. How they will complete Engineering or how they will get jobs in market, in private companies we don't have reservation on jobs ...they need talented student.
3: How many student from good colleges like IIT, NIT or state level good college are not getting jobs ?

1981 मे जो लोग इंजीनियर बनना चाहते थे उनके लिए पूरे उत्तर प्रदेश में एक कंपटीशन होता था। उसके अंदर 5 इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज सरकारी हुआ करते थे। बाकी देश के रीजनल इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेजेस में कुछ परसेंट उनकी सीटें हुआ करती थी। जहां तक मुझे मालूम है। कुल सीटें 700 थी। उसमें भी आधी रिजर्वेशन में थी। अब क्यों सरकार ने प्राइवेट इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेजेस को, बिना सोचे समझे, इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेजेस खोलने का परमिशन दिया, और उसमें पैसे कमाने के लालच में क्यों तमाम लोग आए??? इसमें विद्यार्थियों की गलती नहीं है ,ना ही कोई मोह भन्ग जैसी बात है?? गलत शीरशक डालकर, हमारे देश के पत्रकारों को news banane की पुरानी आदत है! मुझे लगता है, सारा का सारा मीडिया हाउस और पत्रकार.... कमर्शियल हो चला है। इंटेलीजेंसिया और ऐसा इंटेलीजेंशिया ,जो देश हित में सोचता हो??राजीव दीक्षित की तरह , वह नदारद है पत्रकारिता में।

I am also an engineer .work for 7000 payment.but work hard like a labour ... engineer bano ya Na bano. but koi to limit set kero ki payment ketna hoga.same company me Kisi ko 7 to kisiko 10 thousands milta he.
