The person to LED ratio on the Isle must be staggering. Clive probably has half of them but still.

It will have to be absolutely solid LED panelling, preferably in the trademark pink, such that you cannot see that there is actually a tractor under it. Would need a trailer pulling behind it, also solid with pink LED, that has the necessary 15kVA silent genset to power it all, and of course a large barrel of whiskey, single malt, as free libation for the driver, and for those brave enough to approach with level 9 welding helmets and full leathers, to keep from burning up.

Hi Clive, love your videos find them very easy to follow and entertaining. I really like how they seem to be aimed at those of us who are generally curious in most things.
I'm a old fart of a first year electricians apprentice and overly curious sort to boot 😅. Here in Ireland I could be waiting nearly 18 to 24 months for my first college course as there isn't enough facilities to keep up with demand making the 4 year apprenticeship often streatch to over 5.
Thats all the background stuff to why I contacting you. What I'm wondering is would you ever consider doing a basics videos where you went through some of the theoretical concepts of electricity. I know these already exist on other channels but I have to say I find (surly a lot of other people are the same) how you explain things is very relatable and easy to understand.
I know most of us will hear these topics discussed many time and in many different ways but I also know that sometimes refreshers of basic principles can help even the most experienced people. For the younger people (and new old guys like me) going through these once, twice or fifteen times will in college and home research definitely make a difference when on the job and progressing through the later stages in our education.
Hope this all made sense and wasn't just the rambling of a crazy person 😜
    Thanks, Niall

It's like the Honda Goldwing Light Parade on Scarborough sea front every September, only bigger!
As far back as 1970, Wright's of Crockey Hill, in Yorkshire, would annually deploy an illuminated 'Field Marshall' and Santa Claus as the driver for Christmas. It was a static display in those days, and the tractor stood on a grass bank to the right hand side of their forecourt on the A19 just South of York. Sadly, Wright's aren't there anymore, and no one else has continued the display.

Was hoping there might be some historic tractors: Little Grey Fergie, Fordson Major, ...but it seems the Isle of Man is now throughly modern. I was amused a while back to learn that one of these high tech tractors typically uses more red diesel in a day than I use with my Little Grey Fergie in a year, but the capabilities and safety of the new machines is dramatically better than the post war Fergusion TEF20, although the TEF20 wins on easy service and repair costs. Thanks for sharing!

I've never seen such a display before! After watching for a few minutes, I thought of what I think would be a cool display, that was not in the parade.
The light shows in the wheels, were all rotating with the wheel. What if they didn't? That would make a curious and interesting display.
Maybe a Christmas tree image that always stays upright as the wheel turns?
A bunch of WS2812 LEDs controlled by an Arduino that produces the tree image, gradually transitioning to a new image a few degrees from the previous, so that each new image remains vertical. One or more mercury/tilt sensors tell the Artduino where the wheel is, keeping it in sync with the rotation.
There's still 5 months left to for someone (BigClive?) to make something like this for the 2021 parade...

ahhh this reminds me of back home when i was a child the main towns would have tractor parades and events. i grew up in the state of iowa here in the us nothing but corn and soy bean fields for miles. i grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere the closest town and i use that term loosely was 15miles away and only had 75 residents it was the grain elevator a lil mom and pops country store and a few houses. the next main town that we would drive to for groceries and repair parts for equipment was over 50 miles away. ahhh life was so much more peaceful and simple then.
