I have Stinking Memory, but I'm trying to find a red copy of Cheap. I might get a black copy to tide me over, but I'm also fine waiting for one to pop up. Maybe one day I'll get a copy of the denim sleeve version of Stinking Memory too. The only BB releases I don't have are King Kong #3, the Hawkwind tribute comp, Cheap, and the Unveiled CS comp (which I'll probably never find)
ive been following you for a very long time now.. it started bc you were posting some classics that i love, then i found other incredible bands thru yr account. but i haven’t tried to listen to brainbombs yet, what you would suggest checking out first? cheers
My personal favorite LP is Genius And Brutality...Taste And Power, but I need to upload a new rip of that. Start with the first 3 singles: Jack The Ripper Lover, Anne Frank, and It's A Burning Hell (I have all 3 on my channel). From there, I'd say just listen to everything in chronological order. They've never put out a bad record as far as I'm concerned
This version of B.L.E.E.D. is wildly different from the 2nd Singles Collection version. I don't understand why there is such a habit of remixing or altering tracks for the compilations.
It gives people a reason to want to buy the other release. If it was the same version then people would just buy them if they were collectors. I love that they do different versions of songs. Keeps it interesting.
@@Disposalofadeadbody I don't subscribe to that theory (from a purely financial point.) I'd sooner believe it's just impulsive decision-making by the band, because by "buy the other release," you mean long out-of-print, secondhand copies, which the band wouldn't benefit from. The first comp dropped years after any EP activity from the band, and the only edits I know of was removing the bass track from Second Coming, an obscure, decade-old V/A track, and butchering the solo on No Place. The second comp released the same year as one of their final singles, and it makes B.L.E.E.D. more accessible. By the time the second comp released, Macht/B.L.E.E.D. was nine years old, and likely out-of-print as well. Regardless, buying the other releases is exactly what collectors do, difference or no difference.
Brainbombs | Macht [full EP] 19.1.23 2001pm i am astounded, even now, about how... these self confessed gurus make it with youths and the mentally defunkt. from crowley to anger they all sing the same refrain: it's fun to take a trip/put acid in your veins.... it's a pity we didnt get a band together to make rawkuz sounds and ding about (male and female) serial killers and rapists and papists who read us the news, sing us the weather and write us the news... i hate them all is the tired old tale. even now, as i write this, i am being threatened not to name names and sing like a canary. brainbombs did the job that others cannot do. and if the band became what they hated then all the more fool is you. i hate them all.

From what I understand, this 7" is a mono mix. I think the alternate versions are interesting, but I like being able to hear both
