    Bought a regular mete sft a couple years ago. Love it! Reliable. Accurate. Works great, but paid extra later to swap out the trigger and a couple other parts so basically I should have just bought a pro in the first place 😂. I prefer the non-threaded barrel since it’s already 4.5”, and I don’t even have a can to run on 9mm.
    I had the same issue with mounting a holosun k-footprint model. I shaved off the rear “nubs” completely, as well as slightly shaved down the front nubs. I had to take down the front nubs a touch, or i couldn’t zero a 407k because the optic pointed high. The plastic canik plate was made for rmsc footprint, not the modified-rmsc of a holosun, but it still works fine after a few minutes with a file.

      It’s a great little pistol. Been running mine really dirty and it’s still preforming.

    I went ahead and decided to give this one a try and I have not been disappointed. I was able to get one at a good price. It's actually a well put together pistol with a lot of nice attention to detail. The barrel itself stands out. It's beautifully machined and polished. The trigger checks all the boxes. Canik includes three different backstraps with this particular model and a tool for the thread protector. The slide cuts are very nice and so is the overall presentation of everything inside the carry case. Mine has been 100% reliable.

    I agree, I’ve owned Caniks for 10 years and the SFT METE & Mete Pro are top of the line firearms hands down. Machining is clean and precise, so is accuracy, reliability, and aesthetics. For the money you cannot beat them.

      Does the mere sft with 4.5 inch barrel shoot any better/different than the 5inch sft pro

    Hey
    I do believe you will enjoy the mete pro. One amazing tigger and a great looking gun. I have over a 1000 rounds and a couple of hundred with my rugged suppressor and not one misfire. I run everything factory stock no changes to the gun.I put everything through it. Different grains, hollow points everything under the sun. Canik makes one hell of a gun. That's why am the proud owner of three. Can't wait to see some range day shooting with your suppressor..
    Enjoy...

    Canik did a great job for guns and trigger. Yesterday a dealer from Austria told me they canik models are 99 Prozent Walther Clones. But for the quality and price I go with it. Greetings from Bavarian.

      @@uintaprecisiontactical Good content and good review. Hope you make a range day video with the canik. In Germany I have to wait for 1 year, need a license from the government and have to go 18 times to the shooting range to get a gun.
      So my first gun should be a great pistol. Sorry I forgot and you need a shooting course with 20 hours of lessons and a test at the end. Crazy...

      Great field report! Good to know. I personally have not handled the Walter pdp as of yet. I did just bring in a Canik Revival Dark Side and I’m impressed. The trigger is crazy. Once you hit the wall, there is min movement just pressure, and the reset is amazing.

      @@uintaprecisiontactical Canik is an authorized NATO arms manufacturer and their plants are ISO 9000 rated so you can count on their guns being high quality. Could they have some lemons from time to time, sure, but they're tried and true as police and military weapons throughout the Middle East.
      This isn't to say that all the other name brand gun manufacturers aren't making great guns (except for Remington), that I think it all just comes down to preference and price in most cases.

    Well they are the same pistol platform. The SFX has a longer slide which some would say brings a more accurate firing platform. Really it’s just the slide length that is the difference. Now if you go from the mete sft to the mete pro sft you have the same platform with many upgrades such as match barrel, beveled mag well, ext. mag release and so on. The one I am using is a pro.

    Been really diggin’ mine since I got it late, last year. It does get nice and warm after 5-8 mags of constant shooting so grabbing the slide is for the tough skinned. I’m just using the slide lock/release to chamber after a new mag but clearing a malfunction might get tricky at heat if it takes a minute…lol

    • @uintaprecisiontactical

      @@uintaprecisiontactical That trigger is a thing of beauty. I’d be all over the MC9 as a carry option but not liking the issues I’m seeing with it on returning to battery, sometimes not locking back and not dropping magazines freely. I saw a video where the walls are so thin on the grip the guy was squeezing them together with his fingers. Also have seen vid’s where the owner’s reported issues remained after coming back from Canik. For the moment I’m looking elsewhere for a carry option.

      There are a few differences. Trigger is better. Shorter pull and lighter for sure, match fluted barrel, and slide serrations to name a few. I love it great gun shoots amazing. For the money you’re going to be hard pressed to find an equivalent.
      Also comes in the longer slide and more compact slide depending on what you like.

    Hello, does the gun get dirty because of the incisions on the gun lock when carrying it in places where there is a lot of dust.

    • @uintaprecisiontactical
      @uintaprecisiontactical  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say no more than other pistols. Obviously if your carrying in dusty dirty environments, you would want to do more preventive maintenance or cleaning on your fire arm. I haven’t noticed any more build up of dust than my other firearms

    Brady, how does it compare to the Glock 19? Which would you choose if you could only get one or the other.

    • @uintaprecisiontactical
      @uintaprecisiontactical  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well you know I am partial to the glock after training with it for so long in the PD, however, I have to be honest here. No question, the Canik wins out. The trigger is so much better in the Canik, the reset is shorter, and the trigger pull is lighter. I like the Canik as well in the controls area too, at least in the pro model. It features a beveled mag well, making reloads so much smoother and the extended mag release is just easier to get to when dumping an empty mag on a reload. I feel the Canik fits my hand better and points better. I love the Glock, however, it's like comparing apples to oranges here. The Canik just has many more features.
