this will only apply from diana perspective as gwen cannot keep up with diana as a jg ; diana Clear is super fast , cc , one shot , those dashes that end up killing enemies inside turret (ganks)+ go back to farm or counter jg in less than 3 sec each gank?? ....if you tried this with gwen against diana, this will never work as long as both players jg with little to no mistakes .Gwen is simply not made to be jg , and is bad as a top laner unless you play safe "0-0" or counter pick enemy top laner. I play gwen jg a lot and i know this for a fact : once allied team play offensively , they tend to flame you for picking gwen jg most of the time as you cannot rotate as fast as it should be .The only other scenario's in which gwen can jg is either : 1) you can outscale enemies in late game to the point where you can just do 1v5 without your allies but by that time all of them are kind fed ?? 2) allied players / team know how to track enemy jg and make it difficult for enemy jg to take kills . Lastly : it is time to talk about gwen role at the moment "where does she stands as an ap bruiser " . all ap bruisers or fighters tend to have the ability to pressure enemies by dashing or cc-ing them ,gwen as an ap bruiser has no such thing outside her ult which is less effective than sylus or diana ??? even Ap juggernaut like mordkaiser may exert pressure by flash- pull while being tanky and dealing high dmg .As for gwen , she is not a juggernaut either nor can she duel them especially in early game , most certainly they have their engage abilities built in their kit "20 sec or less not 120 sec to 80 sec ". Gwen auto attks are bad without nashoor tooth which makes you more squishy once you build it , and rift maker is a bad first item especially in jg. Your main dmg comes from gwen ult , just building magic resist makes it completely useless (mercury + spirit visage ). Most top laner have either magic pen like mordkaiser or darius , even nasus has armor reduction . OH black cleaver ???? how does it feel to build void staff just to counter enemy magic resistances /maybe with sorcere shoes too .. only to deal low dmg to them without rabdo death cap . oh healing from rabdo + nashoor > healing rift maker on your ult to the point where you can actually deal with champs like volibear 2 or 3 levels ahead too without rift maker . you want gwen to deal dmg . i have a good idea for you although it only applies in top lane : just build armor . you do not believe me . try it . since your q or passive scales with enemy hp gwen is a very good tank champ . against heavy ad ( frozen heart + thornmail ). i had more success with this build believe it or not than building ap to begin with . This is why i am stating gwen is a bad champ "design wise mainly ". she does not play her main role as an ap bruiser not until lvl 13 while diana is strong whole game even if she fell behind a little bit : zhongya , shield , cc , aoe , high dmg to back laners .There is no contest . better champ wins .even in high elo . diana is more useful than gwen .
I love these types of videos because it feels so much more active and engaging, I am forced to not just watch but participate, which makes me think about the game in a way where I can take my time, then have the answer explained after. And not just second monitor the video and say I'm learning.
Last season i got a lot of questions wrong, this season i was really confident answering correctly to all questions, i really improved a lot in the jungling thanks to virkayu :)
Same. I played mobile legends all day until I suddenly stumbled upon virkayu. seeing how top quality virkayu's videos are compared to anything I ever found in mobile legends, I said fuck mobile legends and started playing the mobile version of league. probably the best decision I made this past few months
except for a few other videos from a couple other channels this guy is single handedly improving my gameplay tremendously; maybe the combination of the elo plus the region I'm in makes it harder for all this knowledge to work, because I swear even though you know exactly what to do there is no guarantee your team will follow up and/or do things correctly. BUT, when I win because of what I'm learning here and the team is at least half decent it is usually a complete domination.
I don't mean any negativity but jungle tracking becomes worse the lower elo you have because the lower elo you are in, the less knowledgeable your opponent is meaning he/she would be doing random stuff rather than the right way which is the thing you're most likely tracking. For example, when diana went top, the right move next is to push wave top, right? Me, being a low elo jungler (I mean skill wise), I would not helped that to push and went back. Actually, I did not even went for that gank because of scryer orb. Which are both the wrong way of doing it. The lower skill level you have in the jungle, the more random things you do so it's also harder to track yourr opponents. You need to be thinking the wrong way as well for you to track them. That's where league psychology comes from. Each game, you must grasp the habits and mental state of your opponent instead. Yasuo mains normally are toxic so if you camp them, they most likely to int which means more mistakes which means more kills for you. :)
Adapting to your elo is actually a big part of being a good player. You shouldn't expect people to always play by the book and you should react accordingly
At 6:22 you tricked me probably I would've gone to drake instead of her red But that's something I should work on , sometimes I am way too passive even when I have a lead .This time you got me with that question but I definitely improved a lot ,last time I had more mistakes . Keep up the great work Virkayu thanks for the great content !!
Definitively a good Shen, on specific moments he flash + Taunt, which in the regular games wont happen. The video is great to think about every aspect of the game, BUT, its definitively not a catastrofic BOT/TOP lanes, although the Diana contributs to them for being succesful. Congrats @virkayu
It's gotten to the point where these videos are playing subconciously in my mind as im jungling, sometimes I make a play and then immediately realise "hey, this is what virkayu said NOT to do at a stage like this"
The Viego's one with the Nidalee's Silver vs Challenger hook me into your content. I'm glad you've managed to do another one, even if I can imagine the time spent to look for the perfect game that will cover all the neat EDU juice. It's probably the best one for me to watch. 13:24 instead of A. Gromp Wolves Kill Top, you've made a mistake and speak and write about A. Krugs Wolves Kill Top. Sorry for letting you know, I know mistakes can be made in a fatigue state.
I play this game since season 1, got to Master last season and got just half the questions right 😂 I guess that's part of the reason I haven't even gotten to Diamond this season yet. Thanks for the video. It was really fun to watch and play along.
Great video I love the concept! Unfortunately I did get more wrong answer than right since Im still a beginner jungler but these are definitely helping, I do think we should have more videos like this though, maybe one per patch or two. Nonetheless, thanks a lot I don't think I would jungle in this game if this channel didn't exist.
This is easily one of the most clever informational videos i've seen for league EVER. Engaging and full of useful decision making skills! Earned a sub man :D
If you want to improve the video and make it actually CLEAN I do suggest you to insert the lane states too when you are asking a question, there is no way anyone can take a correct decision if they dont see the minion states / matchup state! This is a beautiful type of video! I want more of this! Keep up the good work!
Jungle meta has changed so much since i was masters in season 9 that whenever i tried to play a game i would do bad against platinum or even gold players (i would get destroyed by the other jungler), this videos made me understand how jungle works in season 12 and i finally reached diamond again (idk why i wrote "finally" as if i've played 1000 games when i only have 30 games played xD). Thanks man!
First time coming to these videos and dude these are sick!! I love how interactive you are with the viewer and I’m actually learning!! Don’t know if I’ll actually ever jungle but if I do I know where to come!
It's amazing how much these videos help me imrove. The first time I watched this video I got almost all of the questions wrong, but already after a single rewatch, I completely aced it. Thanks Virkayu!
I got a most correct, more than i would have when i started in the jgl in lockdown when ur content was my spirit guide. A point i, and i'm sure many others would make, would be that i struggle to think and apply the knowledge in real time when i cant pause it. I wonder if there is a way of thinking, strategy or something that would help keep the thinking processes active and not get lost in game if you know what i mean. All the best :)
i Dont agree with your statement on the gwen doing bad at 9:05, diana has taken not only her own camps but the bot side map entirely and has PRIO on mid and bot because both lanes at within range of their turrets plus now diana is fed full item, best thing gwen could do is check to steal camps to make up the lost exp, take her own camps then go for rift if anything after a gank top, gwen adjusted to the fact diana took everything, i appreciate your advice it opens perspective but you seem bias against something so its hard to take at face value, you called her lazy for jungling to keep up early game without noticing she took 2 champions before dying? diana just got lucky because her bot lane is winning lane which in turn means theyre better match up and better players, its a team difference that makes a big difference, gwen has been doing well so far as far as i can tell
I love these soo much, it's easy to look at a perfect example and say "hmm yes that makes sense", but actually trying for yourself shows where to improve :)
I dont play jungle that much but i play diana mid a lot ... got all questions correctly untill the " defend chicken one " and than got 2 wrong aswell .... i can compleete these type of questions but cant apply in game ... great content
I loved this video. I found that I got a lot of the early and mid game ones right but started choosing wrong answers for the late game. I always struggle to put away games.
This was a very informative video that I will prob rewatch many times to really absorb all the knowledge! Thank you Sifu and plz make more content like this!!
Really learning a lot from these videos! Unfortunately, whenever I try to invade the laners always show up so I have never been able to do a full clear of the enemy jungle😅 oh yeah, had all of em correct except the question to dive the viktor. If only I would be this smart in game😂
Taking both inhibs is completely fine, if you're that ahead of the enemy to take them a few minutes before or around baron(18-22) they'll provide enough pressure to secure a free baron with 5 members, and close out before the gold/xp difference even matters
thanks to you virkayu last time i got tons of decisions wrong and now in this guide i took all the correct decision now i feel like i can climb to masters and no more hard stuck platinum 2 thanks man
I feel like these are te best vids for learning. pause - show what options there actually are - make us think The only problem obviously is that ingame you cnanot pause or might have trouble tracking the enemy jungler correctly.
Thats a nice Video and all but oftentimes I have overcommitting laners on MY team. I would like to know what to do when bot and top both push up even when they are behind, what is my play and what do I do about drake when I am even with the enemy?
I actively started watching this channel about 2 weeks ago (especially those type of vids) As a hard stuck silver player i am currently on a 8 game win streak with with 6.0+ KDA and should get to gold this week! Every game enemy team saying “jg dif” lol With that being said, I limit myself to 2-3 games at a time because it still takes a lot of mental energy for me to not go monkey brain chasing kills.
I can tell you buddy, that I am on the same mindset : limit myself to 2-3 games, because it's a mental brain exercice this game (unless u wanna go autopilot and coinflip the game) Now I'm on my 21th winstreak (1st february was my first game for this streak) (sorry if my english is bad)
I played a streak of games where I was doing exceptionally well and still losing with ok or mediocre teammates. I would have 100+ farm over my lane opponent and a great KDA. HOWEVER, I was losing because I was not ALSO focusing on protecting my turrets and attacking enemy turrets. I would be doing exceptionally well but down to inhibitor turrets in my base. Once I made the switch I got much better results. You make up for jungle farm with cs farm AND when destroying turrets, you open up the enemy jungle, making it easier to swipe their jungle camps. SO i say, gank and farm, keep a mental note on where the enemy jungler is most likely and take heralds and drakes, etc, and push turrets. REACT to what your teammates and to what the enemy team does.
This is the reason I have 30% win rate in jungle. I'm just bad at jungle tracking, hence, get ganked/camped on top a lot messing my whole game. I'm glad I'm now changing to support role. Supports have 5 wrds early, 3 from item, 2 from wards. I don't change it until almost mid game around 10 mins since I play aggressive Xerath bot support and 99% of the time, unless my adc is playing bad, we should be pushing and poking the opponents under turret. Which of course, requires A LOT of wards to pull off safely. 1 ward outside dragon pit, 1 ward tribush (in case of a dash through jungle) and 1 ward in tri bush. Standard warding procedure.
I got 1 wrong, the none of the above one. It's part where you move to mid coz shen is going in. I chosed kill wolves and gromp possibly kill top and reset
5:19 Can someone explain? Why is the gromp being last to spawn mean it's the highest XP? Isn't it a lvl 2 Gromp, same as her krugs as she's farmed them both once already at the start with her full clear. And according to the wiki krugs are worth more XP? Or maybe I'm getting this all wrong.
When camps respawn, their levels depends on the average player level. Thus the most recent camp has the highest level. Although both gromp and krugs are what Virkayu calls tier 2 (ie second spawn), it is likely that the gromp will be level 5 while krugs will only be level 4. As a result, although level 4 Gromp gives less exp than level 4 Krugs, level 5 Gromp gives more. Thus why going for gromp grants more exp.
GG bro im feeling that path but sometimes on real games we had to do some bad decisions but whatever that so helpful and its depend the champ too so idk i prefer to counter jungling with kayn a lot of times and i end up losing some time by dying .
the locked camera is very annoying, because for example at first crab spawn, viego looked like he was about to push in jayce on the minimap, and after viktor went to ward it would be good to know if shen is about to crash wave, because in that case it would be correct to go fight for the crab taking advantage of gwens late arival, and double prio. You cant judge the gamestate by looking at your champion and having only a minimap, you need to click on the map and use the f keys to know what is going on
Hey Virkayu, First of all thanks for the great videos and great work u put up day by day….truout ur educational vids I improved a lot and I got from iron to gold 2 in about 2weeks….playing the jungles I’m confident about, and talking about junglers I’m confident with….there is one …. Monkey king, is he any viable past gold mmr in the jgl?
As someone who is trying to get back into league after a 6 year hiatus. The jungle is so different to how it was when rift herald was first introduced. Lmfao this guide is definitely helpful
Virkayu , to do the best decision we need more information like wave status and fight status, with these information we would do better decisions. anyways great video! :)
Can we get some gameplay of people having to play from behind in the jungle? It seems that 75% of my games multiple laners die before i even finish my first clear and then just continuously int. Even if I'm ahead i just end up getting steamrolled and try to make more desperate plays just due to the fact that my team is losing individual matchups every game. Not to mention just constantly getting flamed if they die in their matchup and then its just like "jg diff" "ff at 15".
Me before this video: ok so i might get half of these wrong Me after the video and literally get almost every question wrong: *uncanny noises* Thank you for the video, it was fun to see which option was correct and why, i'm mainly watching this in case I get solo q'd into this role
My toxic trait is getting all of these answers right while watching, but then completely forgetting everything once I get in-game...oh well. At least Valhir's raw power can make up for my pathing mistakes about as well as he can punish those of his enemies lol
This Diana was everywhere but imagine if Gwen has 5 second faster clear in early game or Diana 5 second less. Maybe just my low elo perspective but I’m not sure what Diana could’ve done to take over the game if she hadn’t gotten that super speedy gank. Does she take that early top gank if she’s only level 3?
I love these kind of videos but I'd like to see more in which your team is smurfed. This is great for decision making but most of the times nobody is really inting and it's most a jgl diff showed. thxvm
I got all of these wrong, I just got into league and I want to learn jungling with Kindred, it's my 5th day playing league and there's so much info, just wanna get better
...so the only question I got right was the trick question which just asked.. "Yes" or "No"... no wonder I prefer my snuggly support role xD I suck at jungle decisions haha
I have a great problem... I play fair lol, I've managed to get 50% correct, and the ones I didn't probably were because I thought it was too risky, like the Baron play. And I've noticed this in-game. I just played a game that I could probably dive in the enemy team and quadra kill, and if it wasn't a zeri and another champion, penta kill and I was still playing fair lol
i got like 80% right but i dunno i was kinda guessing. being new to league the game is definitely hard to understand and learn but its a weird type of rewarding when doing so
Missed 5... not horrid, but I feel that I missed the biggest game changing one. All good though the Fimbulwinter will straighten me out. Cant wait for those brain gains.
Thanks for more informative content Virkayu. Your vids helped me improve so much in the last year. I'm currently on a hot streak with Mordekaiser in the jungle.
Obviously at 13:24 I meant to say AND TYPE A. Gromp Wolves Kill Top and not KRUGS and Wolves. Unfortunate. BOOTCAMP TICKETS! discord.gg/bootcamp
this will only apply from diana perspective as gwen cannot keep up with diana as a jg ; diana Clear is super fast , cc , one shot , those dashes that end up killing enemies inside turret (ganks)+ go back to farm or counter jg in less than 3 sec each gank?? ....if you tried this with gwen against diana, this will never work as long as both players jg with little to no mistakes .Gwen is simply not made to be jg , and is bad as a top laner unless you play safe "0-0" or counter pick enemy top laner. you want gwen to deal dmg . i have a good idea for you although it only applies in top lane : just build armor . you do not believe me . try it . since your q or passive scales with enemy hp gwen is a very good tank champ . against heavy ad ( frozen heart + thornmail ). i had more success with this build believe it or not than building ap to begin with .

the best jg fighters right now are: xin zhao and jarvan iv? I play voli and ww but thinking of changing because they're not so good in high elo
Me too ;-)
YES SAME HERE THANKS
Last season i got a lot of questions wrong. This season i was really confident and still wrong
i answered correct every question and im still hardstuck in bronze
Same. I played mobile legends all day until I suddenly stumbled upon virkayu. seeing how top quality virkayu's videos are compared to anything I ever found in mobile legends, I said fuck mobile legends and started playing the mobile version of league.

Great video Papa V! Refreshing to get these kind of brain teasers to help with the S12 meta
Taking both inhibs is completely fine, if you're that ahead of the enemy to take them a few minutes before or around baron(18-22) they'll provide enough pressure to secure a free baron with 5 members, and close out before the gold/xp difference even matters
best league channel in the platform how you dont have +1mil already, quality content and great information truly Viking content
thanks to you virkayu last time i got tons of decisions wrong and now in this guide i took all the correct decision now i feel like i can climb to masters and no more hard stuck platinum 2 thanks man
Hard to believe how much have I improved from last season thanks to you. Very grateful for the hard work you did for us and keep being awesome.
got most of it but the game changers i didnt get but these videos are so helpful its insane
I feel like these are te best vids for learning.
pause - show what options there actually are - make us think
The only problem obviously is that ingame you cnanot pause or might have trouble tracking the enemy jungler correctly.

i cant thank you enough man for all ure doing, ive become such a better jungler since i found you
Idk how many questions were asked but i got 2 wrong. This is pretty helpful to keep the gears oiled.
This has to be the best content for learning how to jungle
Fantastic video!
ok still some wrong :) ok but as a lee player i would do the 4 camp from blue to red and go gank mid, do u think its bad or good virk?
Damn jungling is so complex. So much thought behind stuff that I would autopilot and screw up. Got a lot wrong but learned a lot as well
I got 1 wrong, the none of the above one. It's part where you move to mid coz shen is going in. I chosed kill wolves and gromp possibly kill top and reset
I asked and you delivered. More Gwen jungle for the masses. Thank you 😌
83% for me! A few of them I thought might be different and you verified them XD
@@antoinechehire5357 Ohhhh, makes sense. Thanks for the detailed write up, I appreciate it.
Love the videos, could you increase the size of the minimap for us phone users?
Virkayu
, to do the best decision we need more information like wave status and fight status, with these information we would do better decisions. anyways great video! :)
as a Silver Jungler i made 2 mistakes. Not to bad! TY for the test. Liked this a lot!
Finally, I got every single question right!
Good vid more of these!
Thanks for the awesome content! I got 2 questions wrong.
Not to mention just constantly getting flamed if they die in their matchup and then its just like "jg diff" "ff at 15".
at 13:40 what if there wasnt a gank mid. would we have then invaded and lost the oprotunity to go bot?
Got all but one correct, clearing Krugs then going top in the beginning instead of just goin top would be a better play lol
Me before this video: ok so i might get half of these wrong
Me after the video and literally get almost every question wrong: *uncanny noises*
Thank you for the video, it was fun to see which option was correct and why, i'm mainly watching this in case I get solo q'd into this role
8:10
Virkayu you kinda trolled us, you sped up the recall so that Gwen was REALLY only there for a split second, lol ;P
i missed 2. i was suprised :-) but thanks for the video was a good lesson
What are your thoughts on tank diana?
I love these vids. I actually got everything right. I'm starting to think my shite mental is the big reason I can't climb.
My toxic trait is getting all of these answers right while watching, but then completely forgetting everything once I get in-game...oh well. At least Valhir's raw power can make up for my pathing mistakes about as well as he can punish those of his enemies lol
These are always great
I love these!
I got 30% of the questions correct.
This is great for decision making but most of the times nobody is really inting and it's most a jgl diff showed. thxvm
Why didn’t she grab the herald???
I got all of these wrong, I just got into league and I want to learn jungling with Kindred, it's my 5th day playing league and there's so much info, just wanna get better
Great job
What is Best jungler champion:
- Volibear
- Kinder
- Rengar
this exam was harder than I expected
Always will have had been
Hey, at 7:15 why didn’t she go for drag?
These videos are excellent
Glad you like them!
...so the only question I got right was the trick question which just asked.. "Yes" or "No"... no wonder I prefer my snuggly support role xD
I suck at jungle decisions haha
i got all the questions right looks like i'm a bit smart lol it's just execution i have to work on lol
why diana didn't take the herald at 9:50 why she left it on the floor like that?
Could you do more of these?
I have a great problem... I play fair lol, I've managed to get 50% correct, and the ones I didn't probably were because I thought it was too risky, like the Baron play.
And I've noticed this in-game. I just played a game that I could probably dive in the enemy team and quadra kill, and if it wasn't a zeri and another champion, penta kill and I was still playing fair lol
i got like 80% right but i dunno i was kinda guessing. being new to league the game is definitely hard to understand and learn but its a weird type of rewarding when doing so
Finally another 🔥 content
True all of his content is fire
Was able to get d4 in my scnd season of playing bcz of these guides
Missed 5... not horrid, but I feel that I missed the biggest game changing one. All good though the Fimbulwinter will straighten me out. Cant wait for those brain gains.
Got 1 wrong. Though I found that some of the answers I got correct had the wrong thought process behind it. I still have a long way to go it seems.
i answer many questions correct but i am hardstuck gold how can i improve?
I think I got most of the early ones right and maybe half of the mid game ones too, welp, guess it's time to look into some mid/late macro..
This video shows me, that I have literally 0 knowledge about how to play jungle
Thanks for more informative content Virkayu. Your vids helped me improve so much in the last year. I'm currently on a hot streak with Mordekaiser in the jungle.
Keep it up!
@@virkayu
I shall priest of the Volibear.
I'd love to see the same type of video, but for coming back from being behind.
how come I'm answering correctly in every quiz and I end up peaking d4 on jg acc
my brain is too smooth for this shit
