Hi, in the old days mowers were only as wide as tractors, so driving the tractor against the hedge or fence on your first lap stopped you from hitting the hedge or fence when you did your back cut at the end. Also, we used to only bale down hill on some of the steeper hills as we ran out of power going up!
Mowers these days are usually a lot wider than a few years back but we always mow the first run the way you do Daggerwin, that means the back swath is the right width when you come back to it, also we always leave the back swathe to the very last run especially in meadow fields as this is the time you could wrap something up the mower you havent seen (old wire, electric tape or branches that have fallen off trees during the winter) that way if you do break something you are very nearly finished!
Normally in real life you go round the field when mowing like Daggerwin is doing but after you go round the opposite way to get as close to the hedge as possible.
Hey daggerwin, you should use the small shed uphill from the road to store your bales, you won't have any problem getting in and out with the front loader. May still be able to put 3 point equipment in there aswell. Then it leaves your big bays down near the cows for you larger machines. And the large shed west of the cows for the combine.
Always clock wise first when mowing as the back swath has the most dangers of breaking the mower and better to cut the field first than break down at the start
Hey Daggerwin I really recommend the Deutz-Fahr Agrolux as a little yard tractor it can really get into tight yards and is a fantastic mod. Love the series keep it up!
In the UK it's Maize if you're going to forage it, Grain Maize if you're going to use a combine. "Corn" is wheat/barley, just to confuse it some more...
Just something to note on this map is that I found that you can just drive through most of the lower down, dark green hedges (although some have fences inside) but around most of the fields like in 61/62 or 41, tractors, tedders, windrowers etc can all pass through as if nothing was there :)
It's normal to go that way on the first round and do the outer run last with the mower. Close to the hedge you are more likely to hit some foreign objects like branches, stones and other, and better to do that when you are "finished" than on the first round, wrecking the blades.
What if the swather or combine won't have the power to climb the hill to cut your maize? If you owned the two fields beside this one on each side, I would tear out the hedge and the fence line and make 1 huge field for hay or maize!
It is because the speed of the windrower in frames per second is close to the frames per second that dag records so it looks slower. Look it up. Sometimes when people film helicopters the frames match up perfectly and the rotors don't look like they are spinning at all
Hey, so I wanted to do a challenge with my friend. By challenge I basically mean an entire day of just playing Farm Sim. We both are dads and well don't get alot of time to play. But we want to organize a day to just chill and play Farm SIm 22 (Burning through loads of Golden Tickets). But we wanted to set us a challenge. I haven't played the game in ages and he has hardly ever played it, so I would need help figuring out a target for the challenge. We want to work around the concept of how much money we can make in a day (of gaming, not ingame). We then will compare the next time we play etc. But what do you think could be a valid Target for the day that might be a challenge for us? Or, if there are other ideas they are welcome :D
25:00 with a heavier tractor and lowered heavy rear weight (lowering the rear weight lowers centre of gravity, making you able to lift more on the front with smaller rear weight), I have managed with that same fork to lift 8 straw bales, basically two stacks of 4 grabbing them from side on. But now I might try for 10. That said I use a modded tractor that weighs about 23 tonnes, so yea not that realistic since its not a Big Bud or something gigantic like that.
You should try the 900hp Case, can't remember the full name of the mod, it was a black one lol. You can have double rear weights and if that's not enough the pack comes with a 7,5 ton weight, wich makes it heavier and more powerful than most wheel loaders. Note: Very rear heavy if you don't have a load lol.
@@DonGorgen I have the Beast (it is all black) one that is modelled off a Fendt 1000 Vario. But its wheels are super fat, basically barely fits on the Rennebu roads with single wheels, it can have double wheels. Its max HP is something crazy like 2700 HP and its does obsurd speeds (107 KM/hr). So its basically as unrealistic as you can get... lucky I dont have crop destruction on, or I would crush 50% of my crops each harvest. I did make some tweaks to it for my own use, basically made it consume more fuel if it was running the higher powered engine and made it have a larger fuel tank for the larger engine. But I think the changes got overwritten last time I updated the mod. I just found it a tad easy that on the higher fuel consumption game option that a tractor with 2700+ HP towing one of those bourgault mega sized seed drills was only sipping away at 10-15 lites per hour. So I made it when using it to do large work with the largest engine it could potentially reach 450 litres per hour of consumption, but would only use that as it was starting to pull large implements, once it had momentum it would come back to maybe 150-200 litres per hour which I feel would be reasonable for that engine size. Last time I played though it was back to using virtually no fuel so I assume I updated the mod at some point and it changed it back to stock. With my changes I could plow, cultivate, seed and fertilise about 2 or 3 15-20 acre fields on about 1400 litres of fuel.
I'm wondering, at about 25:00 when you were picking the bales up, if tilting the grabber back as far as it can go, so it shifts the weight more towards the center, that it might be fine with 5 🤔
It would probably be a good idea to get small tractor just for moving things in and out of those tight stalls...once you have a good 20K in the bank ..unless you can find a cheap used one in the sale.
What the...What are you towing behind your tractor, bud? Is that a keg? What is that, like 5 gallons? Or is that a porta-potty for when you are in the field after drinking too much tea? lol, you UK chaps...
I use a windrower/loader wagon combined in one implement. Incredibly useful though it really seems a cheat. Rapide 8400 by MistiCat. I won't admit how I juiced the capacity....
hey daggerwin i think you started of with a bit to much farming inpluments and to strong tractors so its not that interesting to wach i would realy like to see you start with less machinery in your next series

I love watching daggerwin because it means that my long day is over and I can enjoy myself
I'm so glad I didn't have to wait another week for a Purbeck

idk how daggerwin has the patience to spend so much time on fs22, i love farming sim but i get bored without playing on multiplayer
Very true
It is just fun and if you get mods it is even more fun exploring it all
@@snowtiger8384 Yup I've been playing FS since 13 all single player the whole time. Love it!
This is how he makes income. It’s a job for him.
@@hoofhearted304 i was just about the say the same thing

And always the last headland after all the ins and outs . Just in case there’s any foreign objects near the hedge.
Always the outside swarthy last because you are cutting against your tracks

Or use the barn attached to the view shed for your bales
I enjoy this series more than I thought it would, it's growing on me. Love this small and old style
Always clock wise first when mowing as the back swath has the most dangers of breaking the mower and better to cut the field first than break down at the start
Loving this nostalgic series Daggerwin, one of the first full series I watched of yours was Purbeck on fs19.
I think it was fs15
Love the content brother, keep em coming. Good editing 2. Can't wait to see the progress.
Thanks Dagger.
This Map is a Bit tight & congested for My liking.
Needs a "Box Blade" Mod to level the Pathways LOL...
Hey Daggerwin I really recommend the Deutz-Fahr Agrolux as a little yard tractor it can really get into tight yards and is a fantastic mod.
Love the series keep it up!
I love this series! hope this will be a good one too!
You are correct daggerwin the grass on the headland is lesser quality and quantity you are mowing the correct way as in real life
Love the content. I watch all your videos while working from home. Helps the day go quicker :)
Always nice to see thise kind of stuff
Thank you for using the Nokian Ground King tires!

Thanks for another great episode
u can plow that bit that wouldn’t cultivate thats what i do on my savedgame on the map im on! Highly recommend trying this
Hopefully the forage harvester or tractor with trailer can get up the hill for harvest.
Great video
I also don't get why people are complaining about the mouse clicking
I think it makes it almost more realistic
If you need straw use oats, it's worth more.
Upvote for more modded windrowers. Windrowers are my favorite implement in this game.

Is it just me that notices the winrower slowing down when time speeds up for timelapse? I just could not unsee it

ik in the last video people where complaining about it but. tbh, I like the mouse clicking.

The mod for auto watering is out its called "automatic watering"
Will it work on the cowshed? Thought it was just for greenhouses...
creating playlists makes it way easier to binge all the videos without getting random episodes in a row
Dagger I love this series
Love the video but ive got one question. Why didnt you mow field #42 aswell as field #41 while you were at it?
Does virtuall daggerwin live in that camping trailer?
Most likely
daggerwin you gotta change the weekly list of maps on your home page

Well, just a indication that you actually work 😉
Hi Daggerwin love the map and series. I had an idea for Roleplay, Persistant fly tippers
and a mystery to find out who is doing it?
Think about maybe the tanker that you used in survival challenge
Daggerwin you should shout out a comment each episode also you whats your favourite football club great video
You should do beef cattle
Daggerwin, you have to try this map : italia emilia
daggerwin, you could buy or lease a big seader that you can lift with the claas

So on xbox you can get a tube with water and it's free on the mod bit hope that helps
They wont give milk until they have conceived a calve, same as humans🙈
That’s how u destroy ur tractor by over reving and not changing up gear 6:40
The windrower on the timelapse looks so weird
dagg why dont you rip out the hedge and merge field 41 and 42?
Gonna have to turn around with that water tank first before filling it.
Wish they had real mud on console that be ace and make it more realistic
Would be cool if someone combined FS and Snowrunner
@@DonGorgen yeah that would be good 👍🏼
Day 8 asking for a 8340 sle on purbeck
What if you lower the weight on the back of the tractor?
I think this map is more suited to smaller implements, Maybe slower but more realistic, But guess Realism isn't key anymore .
daggerwin can we have more survival roleplay
its once a week and wont be changing
what are all the mods dose anyone know?
the mud one
Hi daggerwin we could be related
Pls. Could you do a set up tour. By the way, is there any chance that you can do your daggerwinxtra series model farm, I miss
