Thanks for the video.my car didn't need the purge valve but I went ahead and replaced it,since my car was at 158k miles on original parts. The other thing I did was refuel car with premium gas as recommend on forums for inspection purposes. No more engine light ,hope this helps somebody..
my Honda dealer in Colma, CA near San Francisco city take 1 day order arrived. can't complain getting 1 day pre-ordered. The catch " No returned or refund period" on any pre-ordered electronic parts.
@@justinannese9634 You should be good either way. From what I understand all it does is measure the exhaust gas that is being "recycled" back through the engine for cleaner emissions. Not too detrimental to your vehicle since older vehicles didn't have that. Good luck!
hi.All start with the fuel cap light, next day the emission engine light. The sames codes with the scanner.p145c and p0497 What I did:bought an after market cap($14.00)nothings happens.Change the pcv valve:($9.00 autozone)the same. Bought an original honda cap.:ight turned off.But the emission is still there. cleaned the egr valve.(emission light turn off)but after 12 hrs turns on again. what im gonna do: I will buy the purge valve p# 36162-R1A-A01),hope the fix the problem. If not, I will buy a new EGR VALVE .
Experiencing the very same problem just replace the PCV valve now going to take off EGR to clean and put back check engine light is also on says check emission system just curious though even after you cleaned the EGR and replace the PCV valve I'm still hearing a noise coming from your engine that is the same noise that is coming from my car the exact same model and year any idea what that noise is coming from the engine?
I know this is a year later.... The noise may be the evap purge solenoid itself. The computer is constantly opening and closing the solenoid and it does tick when functioning properly.
Thanks for the videos. Got rid of my check engine light!
Those codes have nothing to do with the EGR. Those are strictly evap system codes. Test the evap canister purge valve before doing anything else.

Good to check all these things. I'm hearing that hiss sound from your car sounds like either the belt or tensioner pulley is going out

Same issue here. I changed my pcv valve and cleaned my canister, let’s see how it goes!
@@justinannese9634 I ended up changing the sensor on the throttle body and that worked. It was only like $30 and took 15 minutes to change.

My car just threw those codes. I connected to my Bluetooth obd2 reader and scanned those codes. I hope it's just a cleaning issue.
