That mirror ball logo has to be the best. Especially impressive is that it was created at a time when computer animation did not exist. The "UNIVERSAL PICTURES" lettering orbiting the globe is so precise, and the whole design is pure 1930s art deco at its finest.
The earlier logo with the plane circling the globe is interesting with the engine sound.
The 100th Anniversary edition is also very impressive with its "in your face" presence.
    Thanks for this entertaining presentation.

The most recent intro is my favourite. When you see it on that gigantic theatre screen, with the fanfare pounding your ears, it stirs the soul. I hope we don't ever lose this experience to Covid and to at-home streaming video.

This is probably the most complete of the Universal logo compilations on TH-cam. Great job! I especially appreciated the identical or only slightly-different versions of the same logo (just because they came from different films).Over the years, I have collected RKO logos, and have done the same thing, so I appreciate your passion.

"Did you like it? Write me your opinion!" That's pretty cool actually, I would've loved to write to Carl Laemmle about the studios' films back then :D

Exactly. It was all animated. For example, when I look at the 20th Century-Fox logo, it's probably the best example of old-time animation. The only ones which I don't think used animation were MGM and Columbia. In the case of Metro, there is the famous picture of Leo the Lion, they showed Leo posing before a microphone. In the case of Columbia, when the studio modernized its logo in 1936, they had a woman holding a torch, dressed in a gown.

My favourite? The 75th Anniversary version. Nice spacing of the letters, musical accompaniment suggesting someone saying "relax, it's a Universal picture, we know what we're doing", and so many stars...
Their current one isn't too shabby either.

Good old Universal. When Hollywood entered its Golden Era in the 1930s, Universal Pictures came dangerously close to going under. Founder Carl Laemmle and his son, Carl Jr., couldn't seem to find the right formula compete with the likes of MGM, Warners, Paramount, RKO and Fox. Because it didn't own theaters, it was in the same company with Columbia and United Artists as Hollywood's "Little Three." But a teenage girl named Deanna Durbin saved the studio with a string of hits. Some horror classics helped, too. By the 1950s, young stars like Rock Hudson and Tony Curtis lifted a bit and Hudson's partner in comedy, Doris Day, lifted the studio even more. But when Universal gave Steven Spielberg a chance, it finally competed with the big boys. Now, the studio is over 100 years old. RKO has been long gone since 1957, Mighty MGM is gone, too. Fox still makes good movies, but its owned by Walt Disney. Universal has survved.

Also the fact that some logos were in color made the mirror ball logo more beautiful

Carl Laemmle wasn't really vain. Most accounts I've read term as a generous man. For one, he's responsible for sending money back to Germany to bring a relative named William Wyler to Hollywood. Universal is an industry giant now, but in 1936, the studio almost went under and Carl and his son were forced out.
