Small tip to you or anyone reading this:
Be careful when entering a mist to check if it's a good tier, because the portal remains open in the mist you were in before, and other players might be waiting for you there, and when you return you have no bubble (shield).
What you can do to counter it is mount up before returning to the previous mist, so you have a chance to run or at least tank some damage with your mount (you'll probably mount up after you return anyway, so you won't be wasting time by doing it).

Just make sure that the portal has more than 5 seconds left before you mount, otherwise you can end up stuck in the new mist while mounting XD

Just gatherer until 5 minute timer comes up, then look everywhere until you have a minute left, if you haven’t found anything by then just enter a common. Then rinse and repeat, that strategy always helps your chance of finding something better than common wisp.
