It's to bad you couldn't get A/C with the six pack it seems to be the only thing that is missing from this beauty it really seems to be fully loaded these cars always looked better with the windows down I had the 318 bench seat version the only modification I would make is to add a electric fan to help keep the 440 cool.
Had a 71 RT in late 70s bought it for $600.00 with 440 Magnum auto slap stick, it was that crazy bright green, it was really hard to start and would not idle it traffic without major overheating, stall-walk home
In one hand, you can see the same about the idle in this beauty, and in the other hand, there are/were a lot of comments, about that this engine idles/idled better than the also passionate lovely 426 Hemi. Watching the idle of this video, this is not so evident.
I was fortunate to get a 71 charger SE with hideaway headlights in 2008 for a song and a dance its original forest green not my favorite color. My money is on butterscotch even this white looks amazing
lA frame off restoration? How did you manage that? It must have been a lot of work separating the frame rails from the unibody. There is a section called the K frame.
By the time I was 19 ( in 1979 ) i had owned a 69 Super Bee and a 71 Charger RT 440 Mag. Kids will never have it that good again.
1971 is the year of the most beautiful cars ever. Every brand had good taste when designing cars.
Actually, the cars released in 1971 (end of 1970) were probably designed somewhere between 1968 and 1969...
1968-1970 were the prime years in design and performance in my opinion.

Somebody got it right . . . installed the resonators which were OEM with 440 R/T Chargers
