I was able to do a similar repair on my 06 Pathfinder with the same issue. I was able to fix it keeping the dash in place and just pulling out the knobs, gluing the broken piece and then putting the knobs back on. This video was very helpful!
    Thanks!

So, I had this same issue on a 2007 Nissan Titan. I considered all the info you supplied and decided to go a slightly different route. I used hose clamps that are squeezed together to open. Lowes sells a 3 pack for 1.48. Exactly how many I needed. I did need to grind down the prongs just a smidge. I didn't even need to remove the panel. I just pulled off the know pieces, applied the clamps and put the knobs back together. Easy peasy and cheap.

I just removed the knob by gently pulling it towards me and then I could see where it was cracked and put a little super glue on the crack and held it together with some small vise grips and for five minutes and it was repaired ! You do not have to remove the panel. Simple.

Life saver here! I’ve been looking for new AC controls for my 07 Titan. Almost like these except I don’t have the display screen by the knobs, it’s on the factory radio, and the controls are hard to find. Going to buy a soldering gun and heat shrink because all 3 of mine are cracked! Hope it works and thank you!

Thank you so much for showing this. I just popped off my knobs while still in the dash. It looks like there is enough room for a small zip tie. I am going to put on super glue and then zip tie the crack closed. I think this should hold.

There's no need to remove the dash.
    1) Remove the circle as he did @2:09.
    2) Remove the cover as he did @7:00.
    3) You can now pinch center to turn temperature. Clean the dust, carefully dabble adhesive. Wait 24 hours to cure. Put cap and ring back on.
    4) Good as new.

All three of mine were cracked. I was able to fix all of them and they are working perfect. Thanks for taking the time to make this video!

part #s : Large Knobs (27559-ZC30A) : Small Knobs (27560-ZC30A)... Each comes with one knob. Price per knob is just under $30 each. Going to order a large one, since it's just the Fan knob that doesn't work on mine. I will get back to you on if it works and has the right parts. PS. I have a 2007 Nissan Armada. Edit($37.37 cost with standard shipping out the door for one large knob)

Where did you ordered your parts from?

    • @42medwards
      @42medwards 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@carlosanchez15 Turned out to be just the plastic round outer knob. Total ripoff. I ended up just pulling that plastic knob off and the flat face button on the front. Then using a zip tie to tighten down the cracked plastic connector that is on the metal center piece. Then put it all back together and has worked fine for 2 months now. I used a larger then needed zip tie, but there is a good amount of room behind there.

I have a 2004 Titan with manual ac control. I would like to upgrade it to one of this auto ones. The connection look the same on the back do you know if it will work? I dont care if the dual zone doesn’t work as long as the auto temperature does.

I have two control lights that are out. Can they be replaced?

Here's the million dollar question, where can I get the replacement buttons for these titan HVAC controls, the buttons are always scratched up on all the salvage ones. They illumination bleeds thru where it shouldn't.. black coating easily scratched off similar controls on other makes hold up much better . Even the rogue 3 knob HVAC controls of this style are more rigid.. except the spacing of the knobs isn't sane as titan panel and connector is different other wise I'd scrap to that style.. only other option I see is a new control unit from dealer for 350+.. can't find aftermarket new for these early titans.. next trick is to upgrade to the 08-15 ac controls.. I'll do 08-15 upgrade before I pay over 300 to dealer for another one of the early style units

If you knew how to solder. You could probably do it. Multi-meter and soldering iron and a few mini LEDs.
