He had too many ups and downs.. 1 game he could dominate the whole map, but another game he could be a ghost. The one who deserves it more is flusha. Flusha was ALWAYS there rekting people, while also performing insane plays and clutches, AND the team was not playing around him like they do for simple and zywoo. We're talking about a guy with multiple major titles that people call him senior vac more often than his actual nickname. One of the smartest player EVER as well. There are still stats where s1mple is ahead and some stats where zywoo is ahead. At this point, if we wanted to choose the #1, these stats would balance out. But, s1mple has more S-Tier MVP performances (4) and S-Tier Tournament victories(3) as compared to Zywoo (3 and 0 respectively). So, s1mple would be #1. However, if zywoo is able to keep steam-rolling his opponents like he did to Fnatic, his stats *might* end up higher than s1mple, by *the end* of 2020. Blad3 (navi's coach) mentioned that s1mple does not have the freedom to make the super aggressive plays every round, that he had in 2016, 2017, and early 2018, because team has decided that he is valuable. Since he has been established as one of the most talented players to touch CS, it is a unanimous team decision, that if any super-risky play has to be made that might cost life, s1mple's life is prioritized, because he can capitalize best and has one of the highest clutch success rates in CSGo. Hence, some other player would go 1st, and either get the impact themselves, or s1mple would take advantage of the bait, to either kill all the distracted opponents or trade very efficiently (which he does). Because of that, he has a high K/D, but less impact, and don't worry, HLTV top20 will take that into consideration. He doesn't go for entry, unless it's a specific strat, or a favourable spawn, because of this team decision. This is called - setting s1mple up. What I said above, was done twice as hard by Alex (vitality's ex-IGL) for Zywoo in 2019. From dropping guns, to giving hero-weapons, to literally all the players baiting for zywoo, their entire stratbook relied on zywoo. That's how Spunj (analyst) came up with the name "zywoo rounds", when everything was done for zywoo and zywoo would get all the kills. Zywoo became number 1 in the world, after GuardiaN joined Navi. To answer your question why zywoo became 1st in rookie year, s1mple was at 1st for majority of the year. After guardiaN came in, s1mple never AWPed and his role in the team was changed. It takes time to adjust to a new role, and because of that slump, zywoo managed to get ahead of s1mple by the end of 2019. NOTE that when zywoo's role was changed by Apex in 2020 (explained in next paragraph), even zywoo was performing very badly for the first few months of 2020 (average of below 1.1 rating), however, he has the time to learn and cover up. S1mple didn't have the time to learn new role and again be number 1, since 2019 was already ending by then. Since nobody else was close, Zywoo became 1st. Now, even though that meant that zywoo was the player of the match or MVP of tournament, Vitality wasn't really winning. Hence, Alex was kicked and under Apex, Zywoo was given a more device-like role (not super aggro anymore). Apex went for reverse of Alex. He made zywoo a permanent entry fragger and does not set zywoo up. Now, just because zywoo and s1mple are at the centre of attention and being compared, it would always appear that the person going for entry is better than the person who is a support (supporting the entry fragger, than entrying himself). But that's a failed argument, because by that logic, all non-entry players are baiters, which is not so. Lastly, I am not saying Navi is right in doing so for s1mple. I am only giving reason for why they are doing it, and why the stats/results, are the way they are. I personally feel, s1mple and electronic should be made permanent entry players.

The latest biggest tournament was ESL Pro League - 12, and that was just 1 week ago. s1mple was not only the MVP, but individual stats leader in most of the categories. After the tournament, he has been enjoying his time a little. Going to parties, spending time with friends, family, gf, drinks and all. Sleep deprived and drunk can make many people miss shots. Why can't he enjoy his life for once? Why does he have to keep doing it like a machine throughout his life? Is he not human? Blade (Coach) already mentioned that they are taking this tournament lightly, since their target is BLAST, and they were initially thinking to not even participate in CIS rmr.
