    There is one more way to test the graphene you produced is that you combine a small amount of it with epoxy and test the strength and conductivity.
    First test a pure epoxy object preferably a rod then make two more with the same size/shape with one mixed with graphite and another with this graphene. it would be very helpful if you could try it and tell us about the result.

    Thanks for posting this, i am researching something similar. 1. Not sure the sonication is needed, i read papers showing blending is much more efficient. 2. I am trying similar idea with acetone water mix, which can hold more graphene than water alone. 3. I hear milk whey can replace soap. 4. Could determine number of layers with Raman spectroscopy, are there test labs to do this we could hire?

    Hello sir, I am doing research on different methods of producing graphene, do you think it would be acceptable to vaccum filter out the graphene after it has been sonicated, or is it better to let dry?

    - The approach appears to be quite innovative.
    - Could you share details about the type of fabric you employed to prevent physical contamination while cleaning the sand? Is it feasible to consider using filter paper as an alternative?
    - To confirm that the end product is indeed graphene, whether it's a few layers or a monolayer, it's imperative to perform both microscopic and spectroscopic characterizations. Only after these analyses can we confidently classify it as graphene. Have you conducted these characterizations in your work?

    • @joyofelectronics9782
      @joyofelectronics9782  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you mixed very long time you will get a few layer graphene. Filter paper wouldn’t be an alternative because the fabric or paper should permeate the graphite particles.

    Does that work as well or better than using the hydrogen peroxide to break the layers apart? Also does the better conductivity translate to less resistance and less energy needed to produce the same heat/ temperature? This is not the one I already had watched Thank you.

  • @gconol
    @gconol ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hmmm, so the idea with the sand is friction by shearing off the graphene flakes off the graphite? Wouldn't it work better if there's only enough water to make a slurry and then stir it that way ??
    In your demonstration, the graphite are just floating above the sand while you are stirring it.

    • @joyofelectronics9782
      @joyofelectronics9782  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tried in the way that you told but l got better result with more amount of water. And after making some experiments l figured out that it’s reason is the moving speed of the sand particles . More speed creates more friction force. As an explanation to your second question, some amount of sand stay at the bottom of the jar, but some other particles moving very fast at the top 👍

    There is a scientific paper where they add milk protein to griphite and blend for several hours. Aparèntly The protein stops the graphene recombining into graphite, which is what it will do otherwise, with the apropriate tests they have confirmed that they produce graphene. The problem is that there is no simple test available outside of a laboratory to verify you are producing graphene.
    How do you verify you are producing graphene?

    • @joyofelectronics9782
      @joyofelectronics9782  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s really difficult to verify but from the conductivity and surface are when you apply it can almost understood 👍 thanks to this method you can get a few layer of graphite which is very close to graphene 👍

    • @UnchartedSpace111

      Due to graphite being an insulator, and the smaller graphite particles becoming more conductive as the graphite broke down into graphene, couldn't you just measure the conductivity of the solution over a period of time in the breakdown process with a multimeter? Would you notice the solution getting more conductive / less resistance as you continued to use the sonicator?

  • @criptoland3291
    @criptoland3291 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    And you comment that the solution has to stay in that machine for 24 hours, and another question, do you let the solution dry on its own or how do you dry it? thank you very much for teaching

    Ok for fun.
    You don’t get graphene, you get graphite, always graphite. The process to produce real graphene at the atomic level, on a single layer, is expensive, nobody will ever produce it.
    You can get a few layers industrially, but it will never be 100% graphene.
