When it comes to noise-canceling headphones, most discussions focus on daily use scenarios like cafes, commuting, or gyms. However, I use my headphones primarily (>90% of the time) at work, where the environment is much more demanding. I work around loud machinery, constant compressed air noise, and frequently use a hammer. I currently own the Liberty 4 NC and, while I’m generally satisfied, I’d like to share a few observations: 1. Control difficulties: I often wear gloves during work, and since my phone stays in my pocket, controlling the headphones becomes challenging without removing my gloves. 2. Sudden metallic sounds: While the headphones perform well in blocking general noise, sudden sharp sounds, such as hammer strikes, are not effectively canceled and feel jarring-almost like an explosion in my ear. 3. Battery life: Despite claims about battery life, I frequently get low battery warnings after about 3 hours of continuous use, which feels shorter than expected. 4. Fit issues: Due to strong physical movements during work, the earbuds tend to slip out of my ears. This might be related to my ear shape, but it’s still a notable inconvenience. If anyone has experience with the Liberty 4 Pro in similar conditions and found improvements in these areas, I’d greatly appreciate your insights!
I had both and greatly preferred the 4 Pro, as the ear nozzles were a much more agreeable shape for 3rd party tips. Sadly the ear tips it comes with don't fit in my ears but Spinfit does, and they work wonderfully with the Liberty 4 Pro. (The Omni tips specifically) Which makes these my favorite earbuds that I've had so far. My only complaint with the Liberty 4 Pro was that the Gaming Mode didn't work until a recent update. I'm glad they fixed this as low latency is key for gaming.
I got the 4NC and love them, great value. Only issue is the lack of carabiner eye. The case is slippery and can be dropped easily. I drilled a hole in the top to pass a cable tie through and drilled a tiny hole in the cable tie for a key ring (and trimmed so the lid would close, problem solved, but it should be there from the factory in my opinion .
Either there was an update that improved the ANC of the Liberty 4 Pro, or there was an update that downgraded the ANC of the Liberty 4 NC, because, according to the 1st tests (more than twenty), the ANC of the Liberty 4 NC is above that of the 4 Pro 🤔
I don’t think it’s a big difference between the two but the Pro’s are definitely better. Making sure you have a good seal in your ear with the ear tips is crucial to ensure you get the best results. If they don’t fit well then sound will leak in and ANC will be less effective. Hope that all helps.
Actually wearing the pro's while watching this video just to be sure if I really made the right decision. And to be honest: yeah definitely. Alone the fact that I can use them on my PC and Smartphone at the same time, is such a life changer for me.
I have used an iPad Pro, Samsung S24 Ultra, and other Android phones in coffee shops and public train cabins-noisy places. So far, the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC is one of the best wireless earphones for switching connectivity between various Apple and Android devices, and it enables clear phone calls with very low noise interruption. Too bad it is quite durable; I will get another newer Soundcore series, maybe the 4 Pro or 5 NC/Pro, when it is spoiled 😅
This is easy. The new Pros win. I have both and did a side by side test. Clearer better, fuller, sound from the Pros. Louder, better bass and separation of lows and highs, better mic quality, according to friends.
You’re mistaken about the gaming mode: it’s available, but a bit tucked away in the spatial audio menu. Does it work? I noticed a quicker response, but it seems like the NC's performs better. That said, there’s potential for improvement with future updates.
It looks like the only option in spatial mode is 'fixed' or 'head tracking' when you select 'Spatial Audio'. You then have to click on the 'spatial audio' text again to get to that hidden menu.! That's so dumb! With every other pair of headphones or earbuds I've tested from soundcore it's always been either clearly in the main sound options next to wind reduction etc, or it's been in the settings menu. There's always room for improvement, as you say, and so having a firmware update option is a must-have. Their latest firmware release (v3.23) just added wear detection switch in the app and also improved noise cancellation, and latency performance in game mode too! You'll have to try it out and let me know if you notice an improvement.
@@MyTechGear Well, I have firmware 4.23 (with case 1.56). There are a few changes in the menu settings, but honestly, I haven't noticed any significant improvement compared to 3.23. Then again, I’m getting older, and my hearing isn’t what it used to be in my 20s.... 😅
Just my 2 pence I have the 4 nc, love them BUT I will say while biking to work I've tested the wind reduction on & off, it helps loads on a bike at least, without wind reduction but noise cancelling on I can hear wind constantly. But with noise reduction on and noise cancelling its great
With the NCs being about £65 on amazon at the moment, would that be a bit of a no brainer in your eyes? I have sony XM4s but one only lasts for 20 mins on battery now so want something to replace without spending xm5 money. Whay do you think?
@@Picklescarchannel Ah, that makes more sense! 😆 The NC's are not going to sound as good as the XM4's, but they sound good for the price, especially that price. You might want to check out the Earfun Air Pro 4 as well. I did a review of those the other week.
BTW, where did you do the microphone test? I mean walls affect these types of youtube tests. I'm curious how wide an area were you standing in when you did the test?

I get mixed information about if the new liberty 4 pro are Bluetooth 5.3 or 5.4? On soundcores website, they do not have a definite answer. And different reviewers gives different information on this.
It’s 5.3. It says so in the manual. You can check it out yourself too if you want. Go to the product page on soundcore website. Scroll down to the bottom. Then click on the Operations tab and you’ll see the manual available for download there.
I was set on saving money for the 4 nc until I checked their amazon listing.... it says frequently returned item which is a very glaring red flag... and a lot of reviews mention how the battery don't last long and the bud died within a month. Maybe not the best purchasing decision to go for the 4 nc. The one thing I really dislike about the 4 pro is that they only have in glossy which is major fingerprint magnet and will easily slip out your hand,
@@MyTechGear ok thanks, I imagined it was the glossy blue, maybe it's the lights in the room where you record that made it seem almost like another color... anyway here on amazon Italy there is no glossy blue but only matte. while there is black both glossy and matte and matte white and matte green. very strange these difference by country... also on japan the package is black while on occident is it white.
Hi. Can you review Baseus Ma20 Pro and compare it to Liberty 4 NC? I tried Liberty 4 but I felt that Ma20 Pro is better in spatial audio, ANC, plus it also have a gaming mode.
Hi, thanks for the video, I love my Q35 headphones and I did own the P10 VR but I found them too quiet ( sold them ) have you had the chance to try the P10 vr? And if so how to the Liberty nc & Pro sound in comparison?
I reviewed the VR P10 a while ago over on my other channel which you can check out here -> th-cam.com/video/TE9pcv4vShs/w-d-xo.html they're very focused on Gaming though so are very different to the liberty 4, NC, and pro.
@MyTechGear thanks that's the answer I was looking for, they were decent to use with my Quest 3 but quite underwhelming imo ( different but the Q35s are brilliant for the quest 3 gaming)
bought 3 pros and they are dead now after just 2 years of use. I'm not willing to spend the money for 4 pros for the same fate lol i think 4NC will be good though.

There is a Gaming mode in the Liberty 4 pro its kinda hidden in the app
Thank you for the great and detailed review.

planning on buying the nc's as of now. thanks for the review boss!
No problem. Enjoy your new earbuds! 😊
Price diffrence makes me sway to NC a lot.
NC cost 60 $ while Pr0 are 140$ where i live cuz you know " new technology tax"
That’s quite a price difference!
You should be happy you have an option instead of being stuck with $300 airpods😅
for me it's definitely the missing gaming mode, it's absolutely crucial for games like Geometry Dash
I agree with this
