im a native speaker but im learning a foreign language so i thought itd be interesting to learn what others go thru learning my language while i learn theirs
English is one of the difficult and incomplete language. Amharic Ethiopian language for example pronunciation is not a matter. all spell in words are consonant. once you knows the alphabetic letter you can read or pronounce any types words with out difficulty. therefore in Amharic language no need of training or tutorial about pronunciation and listening . knowing the Amharic alphabetic letter and meaning words is sufficient to be fluent speaker. this why Amharic language is better than other languages in script.
Hi Sir, One small request, Could you please make a video on how to identify which letter is silent in words during the pronunciation. I always pronounce wrong when the letters are silent. Thanks
Hii Wes sir . Sir I have a question The door is not opening Or The door is not getting open Which one is correct Situation is this due to some problem we are unable to open the door
For me, a Swede, it's hard to remember the "lik"-ending of Heimlich manuever in Engish instead of a "lich" ending. We tend to pronounce it more like the German pronuciation in Swedish.
It is a really useful lesson to learn and practice English pronunciation . I know most of them . But the best thing I have learned is correcting my enunciation . Teacher Wes, thank you so much ❤️ for this amazing presentation .
You forgot to mention that in the word “often” the T may as well be pronounced and many Americans follow that pronunciation. Even many trusted dictionaries show these two pronunciations as correct. Have a nice day !
I think the most confusing words are words with similar sounds such as dock and duck for example, collar and color. At least to my east european ear it sounds pretty much the same, i would be delighted go find a lesson that deals with this kind of words.
That's wonderful, Margaret. I'm so happy to have you as part of the Interactive English family. I hope you learn something new with this lesson. Have a great day! 😃
sixthS (not sixth). That one is like hell for me. I have no idea what to do with that "S" at that end as the whole word is supposed to be pronounced in just one syllable.

Thanks for pronouncing the words. However, some explanations were funny or out of place. I don't know if pronouncing the word at different a speed or just breaking it would be enough
