THE STRUGGLE IS REAL: Just in the time between finalizing the edit of this video and uploading it the following news has come out: --Volker resigned --Leaks confirm conversations with MBS and Putin were improperly added to code-word level security system --Trump told Russians in 2017 that he was worried about their hacking --NRA may have illegally offered to pay defense fees for pro-gun policies

I’m kinda late to the party, but as a Ukrainian, I wanna correct you on some points. -Yanukovich wasn’t ousted for conspiracy with Russia simply because Russian interference occurred after he was ousted. He was ousted for incredible corruption, abuse of power and getting 100 protesters killed. Whole thing started as a protest to get into EU, but that’s a long story. -Nobody is fighting in Crimea. Yes, we do have an armed conflict with Russia(who claim to do nothing with it and call it civil war), but not in Crimea. Crimea is under occupation, but the fighting is in the eastern regions. -Zelenskiy isn’t a prime minister, he is a president. Thought you make this mistake only once, so it seems to be a typo.

I would sayyyy...ehhhh...yes and no... Looking over the results of the 2020 election and I would say that a rather significant part of the US population *likely* had the impeachment firmly in mind as they went out to vote...not to mention all of the *cough* covid *cough* issues going on...and the protests over the deaths of George Floyd, Brionna Taylor and other unarmed and not dangerous black people...and the president's response...or lack thereof...and the copy/paste "is this 2016 again?" re-election campaign... Needless to say, while Senate Republicans provided significant cover fire to shield President Trump from impeachment...he arguably was found guilty by a much tougher court, that of the Court of Public Opinion. Which then responded with ITS official impeachment verdict on 03NOV2020... A verdict of guilty... With orders to remove President Trump along with his entire administration at 1200 on 20JAN2021 WITHOUT FAIL OR DELAY... In effect...he's toast... With butter... @@1dirkmanchest It depends. Hearsay is defined as information one cannot adequately substantiate; it's literally repeating information from another source without any further action. It's likely that the person that is the whistle blower was in a position of authority over those persons who did things like transcribe the call, handle aspects of the military aid to Ukraine including the unexplained hold and perhaps the cited password secure information system that was allegedly misused. So, though the whistle blower himself did not listen to the call, handle the aid to Ukraine or put transcripts into a secure computer system people who report to him did. That is quite a bit different than hearsay.
@monokhem some of his sources are just watching the mainstream media news. He was not privy to those conversations. He listened to a few people who don't like Trump who work there and got a distortion of the facts because of a bias. None of the facts that he presented were correct or have stood the test of time - not even a few days. None were researched seriously by the people reporting about it. @mrs0019 The whistleblower is a part of the intelligence community. He conducted an internal investigation, and presented information as close to the truth as possible and the AIG determined his complaint was credible and had merit. If the complaint was riddled with lies, why doesn't the Trump administration publish all exonerating documents, including an unedited recording of the call with Zelensky? I really hope this sinks Biden too, though it looks like he's doing that all be himself anyway.
Correct. Plus the two Cabinet-Level positions of Director of National Intelligence (August 16) and Administrator of the Small Business Association (April 13) He even admitted that he prefers to keep them as Acting Positions because he can fire and replace them easier.
I know it's not really the focus of this video, but this really exposes a fundamental problem with whistleblowing laws: the 'proper channels' you're supposed to go through are often the same channels that covered up the stuff you're blowing the whistle on. It was a fight to get as much information as we *did* get about what's going on in this case. See: Chelsea Manning, Edward Snowden, etc.
I did find out that the whistleblower had no first hand info and that Schiff knew about it in late August but did not bring it out until middle of September.
@Truth Serum well maybe, but Pelosi came out and declared an impeachment inquiry, then the transcript was released, and then they started the secret closed door questioning. I have lost track of the sequences.
@Truth Serum weren't the whistleblower laws revised either a few months or a year ago to provide that whistleblowers need not have 1st hand knowledge of the problem they were reporting on. If so anyone can tie up the courts with gossip and spreading rumors. that makes no sense. that change came about by the dems and was not known by repubs. until the report was actually made so at first it was assumed that a leaker from the actual call was responsible for the report which is treason and they could be shot as such. at least I think that is the way that law stands. and yes the republicans were included in the meetings but then only shifty Schiff came out and reported on the meetings. all others could not speak out by law or rules, I think. And I have seen him lie like a dog with a straight face. So what are we to do as Americans?

I'm pretty sure the only reason he's stayed in office after impeachment is because Trump and his lawyers caused a constant sensory overload. I mean... Politico has been overworked trying to figure out every nonsensical tweet from him. I imagine they praised the day Twitter banned him.
Well, since then, the entire phone call has been scoured over by mostly every person in government and the interested public. Ultimately, there was nothing there. On the other hand, these claims of dirt on the Bidens have become apparently truthful in the eyes of mostly the entire government and the interested public, along with anyone who has looked over the mounting whistle-blower evidence coming from FBI, DOJ, and the IRS. It seems like Trump wasn't lying. Biden was lying, and people were lying for Biden, and it has continued until this very day.

I've been worried for longer than I even knew Trump existed. My worry hasn't stopped since G.W.B. I didn't elect Trump to save us. I elected him because I thought he was life support for America. And yet, both political parties are more interested in attacking each other, instead of this nation's problems. United we stand, divided we DIE.

How is ignoring obligations to longtime US allies in NATO helping stabilize the US empire? How is inviting foreign countries to involve themselves in US elections beneficial to American interests?

It's the advantage of demolishing the two party system and the downside of still using a system designed for basically two systems. The UK's current fixed term debacle is similar. The PM doesn't have a majority and needs a two thirds majority to call an early election. He can't do any in Parliament without a majority including quitting being the PM in name only. The advantage of multiple parties is avoiding the inertia of the US. Keeping Trump in office helps everyone. The republicans are worried about "saying crimes are bad" because they might split their base. Trump voters are increasingly Trump supporters rather than Republicans. Meanwhile the democratic elections campaign is Trump. They were starting to risk voters not showing up because they don't think the dems are doing anything even though as long as Trump is President they weren't losing votes directly to the republicans. Gerrymandering makes the whole thing even more inane.
Kudos man. You probably have a day job and you still found time to make a 40 minute video about what’s currently happening in our democracy and actually explain it all in a smooth fashion. Too many people don’t know what’s going on, or think they do and then watch a video like yours and their jaw drops.

@@francomiranda706 There are a couple of important missed details (which are probably wrong or proven by time anyone reads this...) According to all details so far, there was no reason to believe that Ukrainian leaders were even aware that the aid was being withheld. This may not make a huge difference in regard to if what the administration was appropriate, but it flies in the face to the idea that it was an attempted quid-pro-quo. Without Ukraine actually knowing that the aid was in jeopardy, it is pretty hard to argue that they had corrupt pre-conditions. Also, as a matter of context, stating that 'it is an incredible bomb-shell' that the while-house is routinely keeping transcripts that are 'politically damaging' is quite an over-reach. The executive branch begun doing this due to the amount of leaking information that is taken out of context. You can argue that this is inappropriate, but it is pretty understandable. It does, however, go against the whistleblower's claim that it was evidence that the Whitehouse thought they had crossed a line. I work in contracting and touch Secret systems/intel fairly often. Given context, classified systems can be elevated, or the SCI can change. From the reports that I have seen, Ukrainian leadership was aware that the call would be about corruption, not specifically Biden. Finally, from a matter of covering up the conversation... From what we know, most of the report was released without coercion. The entirety of the transcript of the call was released without coercion. If there was an attempted cover-up... it was the worst cover up of all time. From what we know right this moment, Trump has done what he has always done. He spoke without much thought of how it would be perceived. There is no real evidence of any quid-pro-quo, but that could change. An investigation will need to take place to see exactly what happened, and see if Trump had made his intentions objectively clear. When LE compares this to Water-gate, he says "Often it's the cover-up that's worse than the initial crime itself". I mean, its really hard to say this was a cover-up when the documents were declassified BY THE PEOPLE who he is saying were trying to cover this up.

@@HarpsiFizz You automatically assumed my position. That's cute. I never made any claims or arguments. I just pointed out Mr. LegalEagle is looking at sources that only tell one side of the story. I'm not a great person to give a good defense of Trump, as I can't stand the guy, but the corporate media does intentionally leave out important details. A few of these are: the Bidens' role in Ukraine, other US political figures involvement there, and similar things done multiple times in the past. Sure, Trump is as corrupt as they come, but lets hold everyone to the same standard. Bottom line: the corporate media has proven that they are unreliable as a source of complete information and most of them report from the same perspective. Broaden you're news sources a bit before you start jumping on the latest political spectacle. Just pick two from the same medium if you don't have the patients for more. @@1dirkmanchest It depends. Hearsay is defined as information one cannot adequately substantiate; it's literally repeating information from another source without any further action.
@Truth Serum thanks for your input.
johoney54 you're right on the money, your other advisor is not. The people who are testifying at the kangaroo court are not elected, but long term state officials. Schiff helped set this up. I'm hoping they are dumb enough to send it to the Senate. If you want to pay 70% tax for programs the government has no business taking over, vote left in 2020. If you want Trump to continue rooting out corruption, if you want opportunities to increase for all of us, vote Trump in 2020.

Ah yeah, cant wait till the American people get to pick between an exploitative, corrupt racist and an exploitative corrupt racist that is also a nazi
Well of course the scandals from 2016-2020 are hazy. They were a non-stop barrage of the most powerful man on earth incoherently stomping around like a bull in a China shop.

Watching all this from Australia makes me happy, that we only have to deal with a new PM each weekend.
"its funny because its true!"
on a serious note....who ever is the ozzie PM atm?!? I think I lost track 2 or 3 ago .....

There are a couple of important missed details (which are probably wrong or proven by time anyone reads this...)
According to all details so far, there was no reason to believe that Ukrainian leaders were even aware that the aid was being withheld.
I like that this was an analysis instead of just a guy ranting and raving like you see with most political "analysis" videos on both sides.

NBC and then FOX for corporate media as an example. Or New York Times and Wall Street Journal for papers. Vice and Daily Wire for online, ect, ect. We have enough partisan team players out there right now. Educate yourself and don't become a free spokesman parrot for X political movement.
Is the ability to obtain, read, and analyze lengthy transcripts in exactly one second a part of the Power of Attorney?
Yes but its a huge strain on the lawyers mind so its not used often.
"The Magic of Television" is something my mom said a lot when we were growing up, but I like "Power of Attorney"!
Watching a person reading from a transcript is a terrible strain on viewer numbers.
Actually, it's the Power... of editing software
only birdman attorney at law has that power.
OBJECTION: How did you make a 40 minute video about law interesting from start to finish?
Watch all his other videos, he is amazing at it
It's the hair.
You make it about Trump and Gulianni's epic fail.
You take a class on Skillshare. That’s how.
A lot of reasons, but the big one is his sincerity. Watching a lawyer genuinely freak out a bit is compelling.
My goodness, that was the most natural lead into a sponsor I've ever seen! How do you do it?
He is so good at that.
IKR
He's a lawyer. 😂
It 's called oratory
He took a skillshare class and I'm sure he'll tell you all about it during the next video where he isn't hawking Indochino.
Wonder how the war in Ukraine would have turned out if the aid wasn't frozen unneccessarily.
Objection: we dont get enough 40 minute episodes. This one was fantastic. A lot of info. I'm gonna need to rewatch this a few times
Yes.
I have been waiting all week since the news broke for this.
Time to pop some popcorn.
Ikr
Me too
[Impeachment] "This doesn't happen every day".
It certainly feels like it does.
It's been three years of constant attempts at least.
Yeah, this time the Dems are “really” gonna impeach!
it should have happened on day one when the president refused to divest from his businesses
@Dylan Dixon You spelled "Almost time for Democrats to remind the country that Trump - ONCE AGAIN - has broken the law" wrong.
@@ChristophBrinkmann you need to get your eyes checked
Such a good video.
Truly appreciate the breakdown.
You are becoming legendary in my life and in my circle regarding your talent for cutting through the layers and presenting something complex in an easy to understand manner.
Respect.
