Structure placement mechanic is almost the same, but I think some undawn structures are not available in lifeafter (for example the brown eaves I used in this build)

You would need to join a camp to do that, once you're in there's an NPC in Noah park that allows you to infiltrate other camps. Try to find good camp mates that can guide you to play, welcome to the game☺
