I've done some extreme yoga for a long time, but this is certainly beyond my abilities. Nevertheless, I found interesting warm-up elements here that can be useful for both disciplines, so thank you for the upload.
apart from the flexibility, strong muscles in your legs. the worst part about holding your legs up isnt the flexibility, which is quite easy for many people, but the muscle development required to keep it up...
Don't be criticising them, I wannna see you get up to that standard\level in gymnastics.... And this was filmed in France,Thiais, there the best are gymnasts from all over Europe who competed, this includes russia and poland for instance :)
Yea. :( I hope things will change in the future. I plan on taking private lessons when I can affoard it. My last experiances with ballet have not been so pleasent but it hasn't ruined my love for it...just for the people involved.
CaptainMabel it depends, actually.... i'm an acrobat-dancer... and after some while training it becomes normal for the athlete... so if you're just a begginer it will scare a little... but if you're used to all the stuff "normal people" are scared of, there's nothing to worry ^^
Thank you very much the truth that if you will put forward many haci to do the exercises I just hope I can do it like you changing the subject how long will will be done, openings
I tell you that you can because I started contemporany dance a year ago when I was 16 and right know I,m flexible I can do the split and it doesen´t hurt just the first trainments they are really hurtfull when you start just do good exercises so you can,t get jurt my teachers started when they were 17 so you are still in time just dont give up and work hard its not gonna be easy but believe me when you notice you are more flexible its a really beautiful feeling :) remember if it doesent hurts it doesent work hope you get into this beautiful world of dance or gymnastics
Where was it filmed? At the beginning I've heard women speaking in russian and at the end someone speaking in polish. I'm very interested (and sorry for my english, i'm from poland).
"Thiais" is actually in France (my country). It's an international competition where gymnasts from different countries come, that's why you can see Russian girls and so on.. :)
The problem is that professional schools turn up their noses at gymnasts. So untill educated professionals in the ballet world are kind enough to reach out to us, accept our money, and offer their help gymnastics (as a whole not just Rhythmic) will continue to have bad ballet. :(
The women you could hear around 1:10 spoke czech and slovak. 1:10 ...nežádat, ale oni v té době, v podstatě naše federace to taky uznáva...(cz) 1:18 ... no iste, ale to je v poriadku, ale keď to organizuješ, dávaš do toho nie len všetkých športovcov...(sk)
From my understanding the vast majority of the BALLET world dosn't understand correct ballet techniqe. So I don't see the point in critisizing the gymnastics comunity. It's kindof the pot calling the kettle black.

CaptainMabel it depends, actually....
