This is a typical rice mill here in the Philippines. Once rice has been harvested from the rice fields, it is laid out in the sun to dry, then it is brought to a mill like this one. The machine removes the husk, and then you are left with the milled rice that you could see, and also there is the husk and some powdered husk, called "tahop" and "pino tahop" respectively.

I have a rice mill here in leyte san isidro. I assembled it brand new. It cost more or less 350 k. And we are operating now almost 4 years.

Why is the SB 30 mill on the side not working?

could be that the existing is not matched to the SB30. SB 30s needs a more powerful engine.

What happens with the chaff from this mill?? .. I looked up en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice_hulls
It comes out into a bin on the lower left, and that is bagged up for you also, most people being it home to feed there chickens, or put it in compost.
