As a football guy who comes from a wrestling/grappling background, I can tell you one thing. This guy ain’t gonna be scared to call men out. Pollack just talked about glass eaters, this guy lives and breathes it. Looking forward to some accountability in the oline room.
The Patriots recruited some of the best young coaches/coordinators to retool their defense and ended-up only holding them for a year; I believe because Bill Belichick was let go. The Bengals are benefiting from the Patriots' equivocation and Belichick's bad luck. The more I learn about these new Bengal coaches the more impressed I am. As far as AL Golden is concerned, I'm now sold! If he's behind a lot of these coordinator changes the more buy-in I have on AL Golden's hire. If Zac is orchestrating these changes ... good for him.The Bengals' defense needed this shake-up. Now recruiting becomes crucial and Golden, having coached at Notre Dame .... he knows the college talent out there, another feather in his cap.
First of all welcome to Cincinnati coach Peters absolutely love the interview unbelievable background and you look to be a valuable chess piece on our way to winning our first Super Bowl I would only like two things 20% more efficiency in running the ball and given Joe burrow just a "half a second" more time in pass protection. If he gets that he'll make last season look like a warm up, your next on Deck to be one of the greats we have in cincy. who dey
Lap, if interviewing was an Olympic sport you would get the gold🥇. Your interviews let the fans get to know the coach or player on a different level. I am hyped now. Thank you. Who Dey 🏈
I bet coach is really liking, thinking about working with amarius Mims. Kid is a freak. I think coach is set up to succeed alot more than our defense. Brown, Mims and karras is a good starting point.
I knew little about Scott Peters but loved everything he had to say in this interview. Love that he wants to incorporate jujitsu and martial arts technique into coaching the line. Pollack lacked technique teaching in my estimation. My only concern is just what Peters mentioned around the 26:00 minute mark; that is, if the players have the intellectual capacity to understand the techniques and incorporate them into their game. If he can teach these techniques to Volson (currently a questionable NFL quality lineman), it could be a game changer for his career. Volson has the IQ, character and willingness to learn, so let’s hope. The same is true of Cappa on the right side. Think it could also help Karras at this late stage of his career. As for Brown and Mims at the tackle positions, all I’ll say is “holy sh_t” if those behemoths added these skills to their games. I’m excited about this guy.
Seems solid...first media person who accidentally calls him SCOTT PETERSON should be eligible for free pizza coupons at LaRosas. Not allowed to edit it out either to qualify
I will say it's encouraging that the guy knows about hands, leverage, balance, striking...etc. Some of Volson's most obvious failings are his terrible hand placement & lack of balance on bull rushes. I don't know if that was Pollack's fault or if Volson just can't consistently apply techniques to actual games, but hopefully this guy can get more out of everyone on the OL, including Volson. Nowhere to go but up, really.
A lot of naysayers out there about the Bengals new coaching hires. Nobody can predict what will happen. Born and raised a Bengals fan and I think Zach and the Bengals Organization have done a good job so far. Excited to see what these coaches can bring. Who Dey!
If McNally Willie and BillC gushing over him we should let it unfold . People not born yet in 80s have no concept of how dominating our olines were in 80s under McNally. Almost surreal compared to now
He sounds like a great guy with an amazing skill set. I'm certainly hoping for the best, but I have to wonder why he didn't do more in New England. I'm excited, but cautiously optimistic on the other hand. 🤞
Well we needed a change. I hope Peters can mold the line into at least a better than average unit that 1) Protects Burrow at all cost 2) improves the running game to enable #1 and we win some of those 4th quarter games we lost giving up the lead. Six years of Taylor and the line remains a problem. Poor drafting with a couple questionable FAs signed (Bengals were desperate for a right tackle) and Taylor's irritating tendency to stock the O line room with late round picks that have not panned out..NOT ONE! They are not even NFL quality backups. Is that bad scouting and poor player development? I dont know but its Taylor's problem and he's on his third O line coach. In all honesty if the head coach is not elite then i dont care who the assistants are it wont help and Taylor is by no means elite. He's in "saving my job mode."
The highlight of pollack coaching stint in cincinnati was talking about glass eaters. Honestly the bar is extremely low, anything is better than pollack
I would love to see the Bengals draft either OG Tyler Booker out of Alabama or egde rusher Mike Green out of Marshall in the first round. They need to focus on guards and everything on defense in the draft. I think I am pretty much stating the obvious though.

I was not happy, but the guy seems really solid

This guy's intensity in the interview - imagine him coaching!
I remember Frank Pollack talking about his "glass eaters" too. Talk is cheap. I'll believe it when I see it.
@@chrisw647dude is way better than Pollack.
Sounds like a great candidate. Helluva a resume and skill sets.
Let Scott know we’re super excited to see what he’s got next season. We have big expectations and even bigger hopes.

I’m so glad he went into detail. Smart guy. LFG
#91 is the perfect example of hands!
can't wait to see how he develops Amarius Mims. Burrow may just have all day to pass.
Was thinking that very thing !!
Who Dey!!
Going to need 2 new guards first
Always happy to hear what Dave says.if Dave is excited for the new coach,so am I!

Thanks for getting him on the show Dave! Pumped for him!

Bengal nation is looking forward to the coming season!
Woh day 😊
Scott motivated me to improve my logistics skills. He will help us succeed
That was great. I'm sold. As a Judo guy, I think that should translate really well. Love to see what he does with Matt Lee.
I am so excited for this guy to coach O line

Welcome to Cincinnati Coach Peters and Have a Who Dey Day
A real Cool guy! I think he is going to do great for Bengals Offensive Line, in 25
Thanks FOR THE SHOW DAVE NEED TO 👀 WHO HE IS DIDN'T REALLY NO ANYTHING ABOUT HIM😍

The time is now! Let’s go get it! WHO DEY!!!!
Much NEEDED MAN😅
Coach was doing CATCH WRESTLING

All I want from him is a couple of serviceable guards! How many breakaway runs were stopped because the line can't create a crack for Chase Brown?
i think he may be answer
Who Dey

I wonder what Joe can do with a few seconds to pass
I think he’s gonna be able to get a lot more out of Cordel and Cappa.
How bout some these techniques against Watt Heyward Myles and Jones? We're all tired of our schleps being bowled over constantly
Sounds good, but we shall see
Another OL coach Lap is gonna act like is top of the line just like he did with Pollack lol
We’re going to the Super Bowl with burrow getting sacked a league low zero times.
Where was all this under Turner and Frank?? Hopefully keeps Joe alive

Would love Mike Green but Booker at 17 is a reach
scott gone have his hands full with out interior line
Talk is cheap....Prove it....
At the end of the day still the same old sorry ass team they have always been!
