Drop-Leaf Table Sprouts New Life!

This 1922 Mahogany drop-leaf table top was in rough shape! After a little elbow grease, a few sharp tools and some custom finishing, the outcome was better than I had hoped.

What is a dust nib?

Dust nibs are fine bits of debris that gets into a finish and become a tiny spiky point sticking out from the dried finish. They make a finish feel rough and look uneven.
