Strife is one of my all time favorite games. After playing it as a child, I ended up adopting Macil as my moniker for virtually every game I ever played. What an amazingly underrated game.
Happy to play original back in the day totally entertained by FPS that is actually super immersive. Couldn't understand how no one talks about this genuine gem... but I could say the same about Veil of Darkness, Quest for Glory 4, Planescape: Torment, VTM: Bloodlines and whatnot...
Oh yeah. One of my friends briefly mentioned Strife when I finally got my on PC in late 90s but other than that, if it wasn't for the Veteran Edition I'm still not sure if I would ever learn more about it, let alone play it. Such a shame, but hey, at least now we can easily take that trip back in time. If I had Switch I would absolutely be playing Strife on the go 😀
I love this game but IMO there should have been a Shotgun available long before you can get the Mauler,. Logically if they have Assault Rifles they should be able to have Shotguns because Shotguns are much easier to produce and maintain then Assault Rifles
Can you quicksave the progress or is there a chekpoint systeam. I can't find the answer so I thought someone might help before I decide to buy this game. The question is for Nightdive release not the 1996 release. Thanks :)
Oh I get it man, I'm in the same boat. That being said, starting a new channel with no connections, no social media presence and the algorithm stacked against you is like bouncing a rock on your head. Doable, but the brain damage might get you before you achieve anything 😅 Trust me, I would much rather use what little money I've got on improving my craftsmanship and gear that I need, rather than feeding a billion dollar corporation. I really appreciate that you gave us a shot and kind words. Hope you'll stick around 😎👍
I finally got around to watching this. Excellent work! Really high quality presentation all around, and I appreciate the credit. I'll be keeping an eye on this channel for sure!
I know this comment is a year old, but it's the game worth a purchase? Also, can you look up and down? Cute since rain it's hard for me to pay games you can't.

It's a slightly more cerebral one for a game based on the Doom engine (and was the last commercial release using it) as it was taking steps to have more objectives and methods to them than killing everything in sight, tho you'll do plenty of that too. It's also got a neatly intriguing plot and setting as well and... forgot about the looking up and down part, I'll check when I'm back home.
