I bought recently the Neewer set of RX/TX. Had not seen the Ulanzi one. Having only played around with the Neewer C28 fora few days and I was inpressed with the noise cancelling within it. Range with it is not a problematic for me for the type of shooting I do. For me the only downfall for the C28 is that you cant adjust the two seperate mic gain seperatly (but I can do that on the camera if need be). Incidently I am using it on the Panasonic HC-X2000 camcorder. For me the noise canselling is more important as I am unlightly to be working a long distance from the camcorder. Never the less a god comparsion vidio from you. Well done.
16:17 ghetto solution? I loved it! probably the best rig I have seen so far. (function/price) 😄 Ordered Ulanzi, (amazon canada is having a 20$ coupon and seller is giving another wired mic for free) can't wait to try them out.
Thanks for providing such high-quality video! I was thinking of getting DJI, I agree with you that AM18 sounds like a huge bargain for almost same quality as DJI
Great review. Sound quality on both was great. I just got the neewer one delivered yesterday and have been really impressed so far. These wireless mics are so much more convenient than the rode shotgun mic i used before.
Thanks for your review, I have both devices, what i felt was the pros and cons was the ulanzi was 8gb an touch screen, but on the downside cheap plastic housing and big. As for the neewer which comes in many names ie X5...I feel was smaller and and the mount clip fitted on all cold shoes the Ulanzi didnt and they gave stickies to make the fit right. So even though the 8gb vs 4gb and touch screen adjustments i prefer to use the Neewer and the UV light.
DJI it's great but Neewer is the best budget mic with noise cancellation and the price it's the winner here. Also your forgot Neewer has the UV light on the case for sterilizing the microphones have to use.
Thank you for your review! I have DJI mics but Ulanzi is ridiculously cheap so I couldn't resist and bought one just out of curiosity (still waiting for the package)
I just got the Ulanzi and tested it thoroughly last night and was so impressed. I used to output of the receiver in stereo to create two independent mono channels into my Zoom F series recorder and audio quality was great. Also used the transmitter pack with external mics and the results were very good.
The neweer is so small portable and conviniet specially with that phone adapter and easy to use just cancelation of noise with a button is great.👏👏👏👏😎😎
I'm curious about the recorded files. If you record for an hour, I know that the Ulanzi, splits it to two 30-min files and lose 4-5 frames in between. What about the Neewer?
Re My Last Comment re the C28 and where the recorded audio is on the setup. Just discovered that each indiviual mic actialy stoes the recorded video audio, not the reciver. This mistake on my part was relying on other peoples TH-cam videos thant dont know what their talking about. Sorry if I misled you.
Fulaim x5 is great for it s price. i d onot love the way it records audio by itself, totally different volume level, so not sure if my Sony got the better sound board. as you hear a night and day difference.
The fulaim X5 and the Neewer are the exact same mic. Most of the mics internal recording ends up about six DB’s less than white goes to the receiver. This is a safety feature in case you get loud, audio and part of it you can work it through.
Hi! Great video! I have my Ulanzi on the way. I have an iphone 15 pro max to use with. You exactly point out a “gap” with the kit of the missing C to C 90 deg angle adapter. It has only cable. Can you link me a source where I could buy the appropriate adapter as a separate purchase?
Great review. Not much difference audio wise. I have a Fulaim X5 (same as Neewer). The tags on the Tx to hold the wind muff has broken off on one mic. The Tag is so small that it is more vulnerable as a result!
Hi Amanda, I really like your videos. A quick question though, how do you turn on noise cancellation on the ulanzi mic? Thank you and keep up the good work
maybe you want to try a C-to-C adapter for the Ulanzi on the iPhone 15... might be a little dangly and dangerous, but for some of us who works out of a rig on an iPhone 15 Pro (max), I think it would be sturdy enough to work off of.
Recently got Neewer CM28 but my problem is when i pair this with 15 Pro Max the receiver will drain phones battery the receiver will act that iphone is a charger. Any solution? thanks!
On your phone settings I think there a way of disabling it from charging other devices (I see the feature in big high end phones but dont remember the name) secondly the CM 28 adapter has a port for charging. you can attach a power source there
Can the receiver of Neewer/Ulanzi be connected to a laptop so that the receiver acts as the mic w/o any need to install any driver or software? PnP device? Case use: I need to move away from the laptop while in a meeting but the sound comes from the receiver?

Very good review, especially because it compared three systems at the same time, using the DJI as a reference. That was very helpful.

I'm not hearing enough of a difference between the three.
I just purchased the NEEWER microphone.
Good to see it was a good investment.

Which mic would you recommend for mic'd up sports videos?
mailada=fulaim=neewer , different branding on same product manufactured by zhizng
which has better voice ulanzi or neewer ( better .. i mean rode type voice)
@@asadahmed2195 Ulazi sounds better... Neweer is not that suitable with every scenario
@@sherintalkz ohhh , i was going to buy neewer! thanks for your opinion!
Great review even in these not so optimal conditions!

Great video, Amanda. Thanks for sharing- got my Ulanzi 🥊 I may try the coat hanger rig on a gig in the future 😂
Lol i should always have one with me!
Looks like the Neewer has better SNR. Thorough testing, great job.
SNR?

Love the review, love the clotheshanger use-of-resources too 😆 it works! New subscriber here.

Great review 👏🏼 I'm going with the ulanzi, price, and everything else 👌🏽

Such a great review. What lav mic do you use?
Also which wireless system do you use more often?
Love the clothes hanging part.
Hi Amanda, I really like your videos. A quick question though, how do you turn on noise cancellation on the ulanzi mic? Thank you and keep up the good work
bravo- you did top content~ 👌
Really good reviews. Were you recording in stereo or mono during your tests?

We actually have a phone rigg video coming up, thats awesome input.
Dont forget to check it out!
How is the lavs given with the ulanzi vs the neewer one?
Sold out Media fleece jacket! Is this the first time that we are seeing it? Or am I just noticing it now?
Good eye my friend definitely the debut!
newby question. Can I buy a second receiver to record with a second camera?

Use the wireless charge with a powerbank, hope this helps u

awesome video thank you :)
any of those mics can be connected through usb C with DJI Action 3?
Hi, They can output audio via usb-c but we haven't been able to check it for you yet
Hollyland Lark M2 supports.
Can the receiver of Neewer/Ulanzi be connected to a laptop so that the receiver acts as the mic w/o any need to install any driver or software? PnP device? Case use: I need to move away from the laptop while in a meeting but the sound comes from the receiver?
Yes
Can you use a lav mic with the Neewer??
Yes, you can.
You have a beautiful voice Amanda
The Ulanzi has LCF noise cancellation......
I would not be leaving my iPhone that far away from me! Across a room at. most because people are crazy and like to steal stuff!
