How to reassemble your upper tension assembly on an early Kenmore sewing machine

This tension assembly was used on many different models of early Kenmore sewing machines so it may be identical or very similar to yours. If it's similar but not exactly the same, this video will at least show you the order that the pieces go together on your machine.
If you're looking for a video like this, most likely yours has already been disassembled. I've bought many a vintage machine that came with the tension in pieces in the bottom of the case. I imagine that it was frustration on the part of the previous owner, trying to guess the combination, order, and orientation of all those parts, that resulted in the machine being stuffed in the closet for 30 years or so.
