I was OBSESSED with building fairy houses as a kid- I’m so glad kids are still making them!!
My husband has a garden. He grows veggies, herbs, and now he also has fruit trees. He started growing rose bushes next to our bench arbor, so they'll eventually grow all over the arch. He makes jams (my favorite is peach habanero, and soon he'll be able to use his own peaches), salsa, hot sauce, pickles, etc. He even grew wheat once and made bread. He cooks dinner every night, except for 2 or 3 nights when I cook. He'll use herbs in his dishes, or roast his beets, or make tea with things like chamomile and lavender. He's also picked mesquite pods from mesquite trees to make jelly and honey. He's made flour from the pods, too.

I have severe anxiety at times and my heart rate gets dangerously high. A coping skill I learned is to imagine Maria’s videos in my head. I’ve watched her videos for years, so I can remember her voice and imagine it in my hand. I picture the hand movements, too. This has been the only successful way I’ve been able to lower my heart rate on the spot.
I have OCD and agree, ASMR videos really do help.
Me too but I’m okay now! One thing that helped me was every day to put a massage ball against the wall and my back and leans into it and squat up n down it rolls against back and neck 🤤 feels soo good sends me sleepy

Чем больше Вы будете смотреть видео на английском, тем больше будете понимать, если когда-то учили этот язык. Нет лучшей возможности выучить язык, чем с такими видео, где тебе, как малышу, показывают предметы, о которых говорят. Все мы когда-то учили даже свой родной язык :)))
@@marias5088 дело не в понимании, скорее, а в произношении звуков русской речи, они более триггерные, ну на мой вкус, наверное у автора тоже 😊
@@rost_tochek именно, я прекрасно английский понимаю, и всё же русские видео для меня в сто раз более триггерные, наверное потому что родной язык, а может русский сам по себе такой.

When I get sick with a virus, I usually stop eating all food until my temperature returns to normal. I don't use fever-reducing meds, just an occasional warm water enema (tip needs to be , which usually reduces fever almost immediately. I don't eat dairy because it creates mucus and worsens sore throats, coughs, and runny nose. Light vegan food when the body temperature returns to normal is advisable.

warm water and honey can do wonders and gargling with salt water.

I just woke up from a midday nap and went to the kitchen to make lunch. Then this popped up and I was like, “dang, this woman really wants me to sleep.” 😂
I learned from a guy how they grew stuff in the colder higher latitude's of Scotland and Ireland, in their castle gardens and court yard's they planted stuff near rock and boulder walls that were built in an angle that faced the sun and the rocks would absorb and reflect heat giving the plants and flowers a boost, even in winter months. I want to try it now.
We still have to do this in Ireland, otherwise a lot of plants wouldn't grow. It's too damp here, and so dark for about 9 or 10 months of the year. This can also help protect against frost but the best thing for that is bringing plants into a greenhouse and/or applying fleece around them.
I recently got into gardening. I already loved to cook and it's really nice to be able to use things I've grown in my food :)

I’ve never been this early! Maria, you’ve been my go-to for years. You helped me get through undergrad and grad school ❤
If you've not tried them, Maria, I would recommend planting lamb's ear.
They do well in both cold and hot weather and they're very very soft to the touch (hence the name).
Hostess really are hard to keep healthy/alive, but I've found that lamb's ear is nice hearty alternative and it's very resistant, too.
You can also get additional plants from the main one very easily, once it grows a bit. I started with 2 and now have 4.

Thyme is a fave here too. Such a versatile, earthy and savory spice. Yum. David Austin rose catalogs are great if you enjoy their breeding results because they give so much information about kinds of scents, pot roses, shade roses and climbing etc and there are gorgeous photos of each as well. Planting from bare roots is really easy too. ❤️
You should check out David Austin roses. The scents are amazing and are so beautiful! They make a pretty cool catalog every year.
