  • Feel my skin Lord
    Feel my luck tumbling down
    Left no life no more
    Turn my seasons turn
    Lived in much younger times
    Left no life no more
    For me to shine
Music Inside Looking Out By Mark Hollis
Set to a clip from the 1924 film "Ménilmontant"

The Film was directed by Dimitri Kirsanoff, who was married to the actress.

Sublime. Nothing less from these compelling artists, including Mark Hollis. Gone but he is still in the ether of my everyday life.

We simply don't have the vocabulary to express beauty like this! We all have our own mind movies, but images like these fit perfectly.

Fuck. I teared up. My favourite musician plus this silent masterpiece. A masterpiece of desperation and human decency. That sad destitute mum on the park bench in the depths of winter. The old man willing to share but not shame her. Her dignity her consuming what the old man serupticiously shares but neglects to acknowledge is deep AF. He knows as she is learning - -this kind of situation is a continuing tragedy that societies willingly ignore.

Mark Hollis is one of the great voices and artists of the 80s, very understed with his band Talk Talk.

Paul... I've been with Mark and the band since the beginning. And when Mark died, a whole lot of me died with him. This is just gorgeous. I love it, thank you.

Aw.... thanks, Paul. We get it. If my keyboard player ever gets it together, I will be putting up a tribute to Mark. Colour of Spring is incredibly difficult to play.

Mark Hollis' music and these scenes from Ménilmontant deserve each other, they're haunting, profound, and simple at the same time. A little masterpiece of a video.

Sometimes fan videos express the ancient love of art for the sake of expression without the pretense of autobiography.
