Hi Katie, I missed you live, glad you are safe in Florida! Love when you share your collections. So special that they are from your family. All of my family, are non-sentimental! They threw out everything. When my grandmother passed away, I was allowed to go into the house just prior to my sister selling everything inside to a “junk dealer”. I picked a few things, but the best things were in the “garbage pile”. I rescued an aluminum Christmas tree, all the pink ornaments, my grandmother’s teeny, tiny wedding dress, her 8th grade graduation dress, books from a correspondence course my grandmother enrolled in. I also rescued my grandmother’s cardboard dress form that was made as a perfect copy of her body (her waist was 23”, she was only 5’ 2” tall). I was very grateful I was able t get the things I did! Love watching your videos, Miss Poppy Magill
I grew up outside of DC and remember when the moon rock stained glass Space Window was put into the Washington Cathedral. It was 1974 and we all went to see it. I hope you got to also see the lovely Bishop's Garden with the old gazebo, and the quaint Herb Cottage shop! It's been gone for many years, now.
Katie, I’m so happy I found your channel. I do watch your speakeasy and it’s fantastic. I will for sure watch your channel always always love watching you in your videos. You’re amazing and very knowledgeable.❤🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😋😋😋😋😋
Hi Katie! I love antique postcards too! You CAN date postcards by whether they have a divided back or not: March 1, 1907 was when the government allowed postcards to be divided for messages to be written on the left side of the back. Before that, only addresses were allowed on the back. Postcards in the US go back to 1861. So cool!
Hi, Katie ... what would you consider massive? We had about 2 million cards around year 2000. Sent Jeffrey a few when he was in Ocala. Still collect a few but not like before. Had a postcard store for about 25 years, did shows for around 40 years. LINEN roadside probably my favorite category. Best, Rich (& Brenda) 😊😊
Katie, so cool ! What a fun treasure to learn more about your family's adventures 🎉 I am happy for you 🎉
