I think the morale is, technology has become an idle for most people. They're always seeking the best, the newest way to do things that could be done without the use of such technology. Here a man is obsessed with music, and he has the means of playing music, with his discs and player, but decides to waste his life waiting for a better version of what he already has. In the end he is left with nothing but a scratched, unplayable memento of how he spent the last four months of his life. love it!
Thank you! It was actually a combination of both blend shapes and joints to drive the facial expressions. I spent a lot of time on that setup since I knew i wanted to focus on facial performance.

the video is interesting, because it portrays a reality that we are experiencing. This video shows us how much people are slaves of technology, without worrying about other things. The character stayed hours, months in front of the computer, but in the end did not get what he wanted. I liked the video for the reason, even without speaking, it gives us an understanding of the actuality and makes us reflect on our actions

I love this video! it's so cute and funny lol it looks like it could be one of those shorts before a Disney movie lol. and i can totally relate to this. it's exactly how i feel downloading anything with my slow internet lol and i actually laughed at the end when he tried to play it. great job!

Considering it was by a Ringling graduate, I would say the modeling and sculpting is 3ds max. If you are asking because you want to know how to do it, this can be accomplished with a free software called Blender. It is now capable of accomplishing more realistic rendering since it has its "cycles" rendering engine. If you want to see a work done in Blender, look up "Sintel" here on TH-cam. It is an amazing short film.

I did a three week course back when I was 15 in animation, highly commended by the tutor and won a local award but even those 90 seconds took a lot of effort, so I've even more appreciation for this! Nice to see that someone who paid attention to detail in their animation is achieving success afterwards. I'm guessing you drew the Elvis painting yourself, as well, judging by the sketches on your blogspot?
