Is the GMT a caller or traveller function? In the previous 40mm Luna Rosa GMT, I believe it was a caller function where it didn't jump the hr hand, but was only able to jump the GMT hand in one direction, with the other direction being the date change... Can you confirm which way this one works?

Not at all. The materials are different, the strap is different, the depth rating is different, the bezel is bi-color, the dial is different. Perhaps you need to buy new glasses.

Great brands can improve existing models in their lines and be different. I like the look of all of them. 10k and above is too much for me though. I had to opt for the 5k Radiomir.
I like how they experiment with case materials and toubilons but how about upgrading the 900 movement for us mortals ? Are they antimagnetic or silicon balance or cosc or at least hacking ? I would reather take stainless steel case but with improved movement . Or look somewhere else .
I bought one with the 900 and it indeed hacks. I would also argue that Panerai has never been about the movement. My 18 year old 111 has a non-hacking Unitas movement and it's fantastic.

Panerai never tests its own calibers at COSC since they are producing their inhouse calibers. I hear you sir.... The reason I won't buy a panerai atm. Sort this and I'm in. I looked at submersible 3 months ago and it didn't hack. But see the the p900 in the Quantra featured on this channel a year ago does.
@@kokibalboa9527 Interesting take. The Unitas movement is based on the ETA 6497/2 pocket watch movement and sold for $134 at the time. They added a swan neck regulator and some decoration but it doesn't hack. I'm not sure how you could say that's "better" unless you just mean reliable and easy to repair. But the P900 is every bit as good, plus it's not as thick allowing for thinner cases, which is nice.

I think you're getting it confused with the limited edition e-commerce submersible that's not a GMT. The blue GMT is not the limited edition, you can see on their website for more info.

I feel bad about selling my submersible after this video but it was just too big and tall for me. It is what it is. But I love Panerai.
Same feeling, my submersible up for sale, just too bulky to make me want to put it on. Maybe I should have gotten a Luminor….

Personally I'm only interested in heritage models. I've owned five Panerais over the years, two currently.
