3:40 is when I became a Rapidly fan. What a sportsmarble. He gave up what would have definitely been first just to help a fellow competitor in trouble.
When I started watching marble races with the first couple races of Marbula One, I immediately gravitated over to the Speeders. I loved their distinct color pattern, Speedy's amazing comeback in the first race, Rapidly helping Wospy with the conveyor, and most of all, the way the team felt so dynamic, constantly vying for position and never disappointing. Half a year later, I'm a Savage Speeders fan for life.
Ideas: Ghost Plasma's decline in SMR 17 and 18, and his recovery Oceanics recover from the bottom of the standings to mid-table Jungle Jumpers place 7th in 2019 after being a relatively bad team Savage Speeders and Mellow Yellow's millisecond difference in the last event of 2016 Midnight Wisps' incredible 2018 comeback Team Galactic 5th(lol)
As a Hazers fan, this opened my eyes to what they did for the 2020 season of Marbula One. Super fascinating how they changed strategy to best compete in the sport! Insane how consistent they are even in the 2020-2021 season! Who knows how things will go for the Hazers and Savage Speeders coming into the 2021-2022 season!
rapidly did only good for the first season of Marbula one but at least swiftly is now racing for the Savage Speeders insted of him because they have done well ever since season 4
I think the Greenstone section should have emphasized that Greenstone was such a long, winding track. It played against Rapidly's strength getting off the conveyor belt. And for the Razzway, Rapidly kept hitting the literal bump in the road (the pit divide) along with that figurative bump in the road. :P
The Greenstone part definitely should’ve included that, thanks for the suggestion, but the Razzway section was kinda hard. Since Rapidly was out of the top 5 for a lot of the race, he wasn’t on screen much. I’m limited to the camera views they have on the video
@@MarbleSportsFilms No problem! Can't wait to see you cover more Marble history! One thing that might be fun is a history of the teams that are no longer with us. Like the Gliding Glaciers and Team Plasma.
@@san_5726 I’ve seen it, it’s not really something you can collab on tho, idk it just wouldn’t feel right except for maybe voice acting. I’d gladly join a rundown or quick hit if they’re ever offering
(Just subscribed.) It's great that a 5th place finish in the Marble league is something you have to "bounce back" from. Some teams have never even been in fifth place, let alone finished the season there or above. But yes, fifth place was a disappointing finish for our perennial podium sitters. I'm excited for Marbula One 2020. Can the Speeders extend their streak? #SpeedIsKey. Maybe it'll finally be #LimeTime though?
You should do a feature on the best there ever was. I don't know what individual marble is the best of all time, but there's gotta be one out there. Or maybe we need to wait for Marbula One Season 2 to create some stratification between the pretenders and the contenders. I am starting to wonder just how long a marble can stay in top shape. I'll grant that Mary was a little old when she first entered the competition, and she was good for a while, but it might be time for her to retire before too much longer. There will always be younger marbles hounding at the older marble's... lower arc of the sphere? Regardless, I know that sooner or later every athlete must retire, and sooner or later I'll be looking at the Savage Speeders, and I'll see names like "Fast" and "Streak" and "Zoom", and I'll wonder who these marble are. And then they'll keep on winning and I won't worry so much.
That sounds like a great offseason idea, I’ll most likely wait after M1 to see who the GOAT, so far, I believe the GOAT is Speedy from the Savage Speeders.
Greenstone as a track is really the Antithesis to the Speeders. Lots of corners, one schikane after another...there is simply no way to build up speed. Now, the Speeders are surely no slouches when it comes to cornering, but i wouldnt say its one of their strongest suits; the other teams are as far as i can tell much better at that, so it was no surprise that he performed badly.
I'd say the main reason it was so shocking was that Rapidly had won two silvers in a row. Sure we can look back and see all the technicalities but at the time Rapidly was the best racer before greenstone.
@@MarbleSportsFilms True, but even the best racer will perform poorly if he cant use the track (which might actually be an indicator of not beeing the best, but i digress)
Great Savage Speeders fan here. I miss seeing them in every competition.
Greatest team EVER!
I see them as evil.

Rapidly's performance honestly never stopped dipping after Greenstone. He just never really felt the same.
