An authentic rendition of this song in a natural situation - singing with my lovely sister after a few beers, on the seldom times we get together!
Lucy has such a lovely voice and previously I had wanted her to feature on this song, but with her living apart it wasn't possible, but instead we perform for ourselves and the parents during our family reunions.
"Archangel" is a prayer of friendship and love for those who guide us and help us on our journey through life. I don't practise religion but I have become spiritual over time and this song has been an anthem for the difficult times, and a reminder during the smoother times that I strongly feel there is something out there looking after me.
Sometimes it manifests as people, sometimes animals, but most of all it's a feeling I experience a lot when travelling, that something is guiding me and making sure I am only given what I can take; and always eventually steered in the right direction.
