Wow finally Quint is covering the serious issues you should cover the real story how we indigenous have become minority since 1948 after joining with India we accepted Bengali refugees from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 during the 1972 war this is the reason we are against CAB lots of to say
The situation of whole North-East and North Bengal is same. The identities of Original inhabitants of the lands are at great danger. Reason ,illegal migrants from across the International border. But, brothers sometimes , we need to analyse ourselves .too. We always blame others immediately , never tries to analyse us .Brothers, sometimes self-criticism is good. Perhaps all of you will agree that , there is a big labor market in the region. Most of our indigenous brothers are very choosy in selecting jobs. Most of us prefer white color jobs. Rarely , accepts manual and labor intensive Jobs. Most of us are prefer to be within comfort zone, never wants to go out of that comfort zone. Political acumen-ship is almost nil in us. Our political thoughts are not future oriented. Like these hundreds of reasons can be cited , for the present situations. We all agree, that our identities are at great danger. We all must act now, to revert the situation . But what to do ? What should be our course of action ? In my opinion, we may concentrate on the following 1. We all must unite, at least to the extent of common problems, think in that line . There should be uniformity in those actions. 2. The traditional weaknesses /defects such as laziness, choosy in jobs, never want to go out of comfort zone, less adventurous etc etc in us must be overcome. This is the requirement of time. 3. Multi-disciplinary vocational education must be introduced in us. As it is seen , most of the places the people are jobless , economic conditions are weak. Vocational education can help us improve in this situations. 4. We must be politically active, improve our political acumen ship. It is seen that , most of our local peoples are very reluctant to take part in political process. Even on election day too, they prefer not to go for voting. They need lots of persuasion to vote. Since we are residents of Democracy , we all must understand the importance of voting system. 5.Some of our day to day lifestyle habits/prejudices are also hampering the growth. We must reform ourselves as per requirement of time and situation. For example the jhum cultivation, wide spread destruction of forest land , No re-plantation of the forests, some of our festivals run for months together , no activity in those days etc etc. 6. We all must adopt modern way of life style, (but not at the cost of our original traditions). Modern technology and ideas of day to day life must have penetration in us. For Example our cultivation methods , cloth weaving system. Modern methods must be adopted in those areas , otherwise it is very difficult to compete and survive. Many of us have family businesses like cow, goat , pig, duck, fish , vegetable, fruit farming etc. Industrial scale farming concept can be introduced in those areas by adopting modern technologies. 7. There must be elite bodies in local levels also to identify potential talents and arrange to pursue further their area of expertise. 8. We all must put cohesive & dedicated effort to eradicate illiteracy , blind belief's and must take active part in political processes. 9. Implement NRC in the whole region. Together we can , we shall be able to overcome present dangers. and make our future safe and strong.
It is an urged to everyone please do not call us tribal, we are original inhibitants of Tripura. Do call us Tripuri or Tiprasa, Mizo of Mizoram, Naga of Nagaland and so on. Thank you.

I am a Bengali and I totally disagree with this initiative!! Although Bengalis are the majority but Tripura state is for Triupuris and they were majority here at a time. Now they are more than 30%. Bengalis fought for their mother language in 1952. They should understand how people feel for their Mother language. Tripuris has the right to speak in their mother language Kokborok and it should remain one of the official languages of Tripura.
Most of the bengali living in North East are Bangladeshi illegal immigrants. One day same will happen to Assam. So, we are against citizenship amendment bill 2016
Sorry dear bro, I am not agree with your statement that "Hindi will replace by English". It will never be done and if it will done then one think you should keep in your knowledge that before Hindi replaced by English, all regional languages will be replaced by English. And it is nothing more than a "Day Dream".
Hindi is indeed our national language ,we do give a lot of importance to hindi as a language, but hindi is also a language and so is our kokborok.we do give our importance not only to hindi but also bengali,English, marathi, punjabi and lots on . But whenever we speak our own language we are criticised, made fun of thinking that we are tribal mountainous people which they call pahari people. There are many languages in India, that have their rights to be spoken of to be learnt of ,then why our kokborok cant be one . Its not a foreign or any new language just made . Its is our language our mother tongue ,why cant we have the right to speak our own mother tongue. Those people who have spoken hindi as their mother tongue still can so why cant we . I am not pointing things but trying to show the clear picture . We are also the inhabitants of this country we are also Indians ,we also have the right to speak for ourselves . No one has the right to take away our language our mother away from us .
This is an extremely wrong step taken by the CM. And Center BJP is doing this to promote Hindi ... BJP wants India to be a Hindu Rashtra with Hindi as it's only language... In this way we will loose our culture our mother tongue...

@@shbhmmn Yes minority of them are good..but majority have the reputation to take over lands and turn it to a bengali place...Tripura is gone we can't let it happen to us...tamils won't take Maharashtra, Biharis won't take Gujrat, Kannad won't take UP they are happy in their own lands..but bengalis are not..so we need to stay safe
Thanks Quint for this..Im from Tripura
KOKBOROK! KOKBOROK! AND KOKBOROK!
Most of the Bongs (Bangali) are illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and some are legally (Brought by our King's during their rules) inhabitants of Tripura, and they speak BENGALI and we too respect their language (mother tongue) And earlier The official language (KOKBOROK & BENGALI) was declared in Tripura, So why remove only KOKBOROK!
And Tripura was Ruled by Many kings and The Kings don't belong to Bangali, They are Tiprasa Who speak KOKBOROK, KOKBOROK AND ONLY KOKBOROK.
AFTER MERGING WITH INDIA IS THIS HOW WE THE PEOPLE TO BE TREATED??
TO BE CALLED ILLITERATE AS WE SPEAK KOKBOROK (WHICH IS OUR MOTHER TONGUE) ?
Kritipol Debbarma brother we respect your language...and we don't want Kokborok to be replaced by Hindi.
Most of them are not even bengali but Syllethi
Is really all tribes of tripura speak kokborok?there r tribes exist Darlong, kaipeng, chakmas, mogs, brus?they think that tripura is a tribal kingdom not a kokborok kingdom.Even maharaja think too.?
@@code99206 tell me which is the most spoken language in Tripura ??
Okay there are many tribes in Tripura so you want all the language to be used in official??
Else do you support the imposition of Hindi to the KOKBOROK speaking people?
For your kind information trace the roots (the Chronicle or Rajmala) see.
@@code99206 Oh and I nevertheless the less told that All tribes speak KOKBOROK, Yet just check the official language of Tripura, you would find Bangali and Kokborok, and seems that you are happy with the removal of Kokborok with Hindi!
Tripura was a princely state, so merging with India doesn't mean that we are to leave our culture,
India is secular and democratic.
Respect is must. I am with them to stand for there identity
Thanks bro
DONT LET THESE BJP THUGS TO ROB U OF UR CULTURE
hariom440 it's not bjp its bengali who are killing us
Don't say BJP, congress or CPIM no party is robbbing our culture but bangladeshis are robbing our everything. Before India's independence who was ruling India British or BJP or congress? I hope you got my point.

It’s so frustrating seeing the real inhabitants of the state being ruled by outsiders. This is so frustrating OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG.
Even in the comment sections there are more Bengalis from tripura... This is really sad ..
That's the reality. 70% of Tripura citizen are Bengalis. Why didn't they go to West Bengal?

In my opinion, we may concentrate on the following
The quint I request u to do a video on the citizen amendment bill situation in assam.... moreover national media is ignoring the topic.🙏
If we the minority can speak Bengali why cnt people speak in kokborok
It is an urged to everyone please do not call us tribal, we are original inhibitants of Tripura. Do call us Tripuri or Tiprasa, Mizo of Mizoram, Naga of Nagaland and so on. Thank you.
Hindi is mother tongue for all Indians
"KOKBOROK" is my mother tongue and iam proud of it...those who are Tiprasa and dnt know ur mother tongue shame on you....!!!
we should start a language movement ....n awareness...to those who feel shy to talk kokborok n speak other language even with own tiprasa

Awaz uthao brothers ❤ ! May allah bless all tripuri people ! Love from Assam ❤
Nice video by quint.
Respect all languages & community
Hindi is not our national language. We are equal.
Shame on tripura govt.
Adapting to hindi will benefit them greatly, in terms of jobs or with mainlanders. But no they will just sit in thier villages amd keep whining!
I am a Bengali guy and I love Kokborok and I support Kokborok. And I love our all tribal people.
Most of the bengali living in North East are Bangladeshi illegal immigrants. One day same will happen to Assam. So, we are against citizenship amendment bill 2016
Yess right 100%%%√√√√√
Sorry dear bro, I am not agree with your statement that "Hindi will replace by English". It will never be done and if it will done then one think you should keep in your knowledge that before Hindi replaced by English, all regional languages will be replaced by English. And it is nothing more than a "Day Dream".
CPIM Is only ultimate solution for Tripura...
Long live tribal in northeast...let unit
Thanks you for this
The Tripuri people are our brotherly people. Their language Kokbarok should be preserved. Or they will be in status like our Syloti language
We are not tribal ! We are indigenous peoples ok
This is an extremely wrong step taken by the CM.
And Center BJP is doing this to promote Hindi ... BJP wants India to be a Hindu Rashtra with Hindi as it's only language... In this way we will loose our culture our mother tongue...
Deepjyoti Biswas And ur people r promoting bengali language here in Tripura
I am a Bengali guy from the same motherland,,,I speak bengali and Kisa kisa kok saimanu...we never jugded anyone based on anyones language,,,as a rural development professional we faught for Tribals rights..we always tried to upfront the real problms thats been faced by the remote trible people's..
Time to topple the fascist government of India. 👍🏻

What do you mean by poor form .
It's totally different language
Poor form lol. Assamese script is older than bengali do your research wisely.

The Nigerian has their own native languages too which are not an Indo-European language and they still speak it in house and for everyday life, while English is only used in official events. Why will local media telecast hindi when people cant even understand it , doesn't make any sense..

Their mother tongue will stay forever with them ,doesnt make any difference if you change media language as no one will be watching your media lol
