The problem is that his new stuff is just.. it’s not him anymore it makes him come off as corporate and generic but he had his own unique style that made him stand out if you were to so much as hear his music you can’t do that anymore with his new stuff. Pixelise is very unique and more faithful to snail’s house’s style than alot of his classic releases. For an instance, Although I absolutely love the original 3 albums of ”ordinary songs” they are very generic compared to snail’s house new music. I don’t know where exactly your assumptions come from but for me its very hard to understand. In my opinion snail’s house new tracks are the tracks that are the least mainstream, because they arent pop’y and they are more jazzy than his older albums (and this is the signature style Im talking about) I think the main reason his new albums arent as great as his originals is not due to style and genericness but simply due to him not delivering as good melodies anymore (which his music really relies upon)

They’re much more calm than being upbeat and hyperpop-styled, kinda in the style of the Imaginary Express album. Ujico wants to try different styles, and sometimes change is good.
This song tastes like the nerds candy, yet it pops in your mouth in a more satisfying way than fireworks candy, Yet it is so satisfying that you can't get enough of it, you just want more, it doesn't have any msg, it is just is that tasty
