i really miss this era of pc music; the light hearted, glittery, innocent, bubbly, femme, minimalistic blend of Jpop & 8bit video game music blend so seemlessly. It just evokes such a bright nostalgia within me, its like looking back at pictures of a puppy that has now matured into a behemoth. tho i didn't even know what pc music was when it was in this era i still strangely miss it dearly.
@@Quebedify tbh i feel like it was much more ironic in its initial incarnation a la vaporwave, but has become so respected in its aesthetic that it's become a genuine part of experimental music culture and the bubblegum bass/hyperpop sound is played mostly straight nowadays. i do miss this period of PCM artists a lot tho, EASYFUN is the last artist who still understands the original concept of bubblegum bass imo.

Absolutely dripping in thick shiney gallons of pure uncut nostalgia, fucking brings me back being in my friends shitty Tacoma going way way too fast late at 3am, skipping highschool because they told me they were taking me somewhere they knew I'd like, and I just decided to do it against all judgment. Drove through the night, playing this new underground music I found that I was certain was going to be the biggest thing ever soon. Their reactions and joy, so much fun, we drove for 10hrs so they could take me to an in person exhibition of Michelangelo's paintings, it was the closest to bliss I've felt. Good memories I'm grateful I got to be a teen at that time.
