Every invention has its time. The secret here is the spring and that bearing (the fly wheel). It is designed like a motor shaft. If you understand the locomotion of a car shaft then it is the same as this one only that this one is run by springs. The spring expands and contracts following the way it is attached to the shaft. It looks like the board is in 2 halves with a fairly clear line of demarcation all around. I've seen models built by others and only worked because of a repeater circuit, coil & battery inside. I want to believe tho.

The motor is hidden in the center of the bearing, one shaft negative, and the other positive. Battery is, of course, hidden in the base. It still takes an amount of skill and creativity to create and display devices of this nature. At least some of us were entertained. 😊👍
